How does your child's school recycle?????????
Do you know if your child's school is recycling???????Paper?Plastic? In the class as well as cafeteria??????
Also does anyone know pf a source that will pay for plastic water bottles on Long Island??????

The school I work in used to recycle paper and now they don't which is ridiculous. They said it's all because of how much they would have to paper for the paper to be picked up because the local municipalities won't do it. There was just something a couple of weeks ago in the Community Watch Dog section of Newsday with a school in another district that had the same problem

We have a similar situation in the district that I work in...they would have to pay to have it picked up and to sort it and we don't have the man-power to do that (I guess)...we recycle cans/bottles through a program that a retired teacher started, but its totally done by a few teachers and picked up by the retired teacher who brings it to the recycling center...

My school recycles paper. The program was started by 2 of the teachers & the students do all the collecting.
