How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
I really need to know if I am in the minority or majority here
Also, how old is DC?
ETA: I guess I should answer my own post!
DS is almost 9mos and I consider him to be a very bad sleeper. No night is the same. But, on average - he sleeps through the night, going to bed easily with no wake ups only about 1X per week. The other nights he either wakes up one or more times, is difficult to get to sleep or, on the really bad day that happens once every two weeks or so - he is up off and on all night. Most of the time he averages about 9hrs of sleep a night but it is disrupted by the above.
I know I need to do CIO...this is not normal right?

Noah will be a year in 2 weeks.
His sleeping has never been the same.
He slept through the night at 5 weeks old...never woke up..till 7 months old.
Since then its been a crap shot every night.
Most nights he sleeps at least 9-10 hours a night and wakes up 1 time..and goes easily back to sleep with us or being rocked.
He hates his crib. Thats our issue.
If he coudl sleep on the couch with us, he would sleep 12-13 hours.

Ella's almost 2 (next month), so she may be a little older than you're looking for. She sleeps 10-12 hours, and generally does not wake up during the night (of course there are exceptions, but more often than not she sleeps though).
She's been sleeping through the night since 5 months.

DS is 11 month today and is very consistent with his night sleep.
Goes to bed around 8pm and wakes up around 6pm. Some days may vary but that's not the norm.
He did not do full night until almost 6 months.

DD just turned 1. She has slept very well since about 6 weeks old. Now goes to bed Bed around 8:30-9pm wakes between 8-9am. We try & do the same thing at bedtime to get her used to the routine. We try & give her a bath, read a book & then go to bed. Lately when we say Ok time for night night she starts to cry but we still bring her in her room, rock her for a few mintues & then lay her down. She sometimes cries & other times just passes out. If she cries it lasts all of 2 minutes.

DD is 10 months & goes down between 7:30-8pm & will sleep through the night until 6:30 (when I wake her) or 7-730 on the weekend....except for tonight of course when she woke up at 3:30 & is still up crying (she is fine as long as I hold her, but the minute I put her down she starts again...I think its her teeth. This is VERY unusual though).

Jacob is almost 18 months and sleeps 10 hours a night every night. When he is sick or when he was teething, he would wake up or cry in his sleep throughout the night but that is rare.

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
DD is 6 months old and was sleeping about 9 or 10 hours for a while and the past few weeks she has been HORRIBLE! I don't know what's going on but she wakes up a few times/night, hard to get back to sleep and I usually end up bringing her into bed with me around 4:30 or 5 so I can get a little rest for another hour or so until the older one gets up, CIO isn't working right now, I will try again in a few weeks I guess...
My older one is 2 and she has not gotten up in the middle of the night since she was a baby. She goes down without a fuss around 7:30 and sleeps until anywhere btwn 5:30 and 7(rare)...

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
I answered: Wakes up several times during the night at least a few days a week - for my 11 month old. It's usually just to get the pacifier.
This was #1 as well (now 3 years) - he still wakes up once a night - this is just normal for us. We have been running on fumes for quite some time.
Our ped nurse told us her son didn't sleep through the night until 4 years!

DS is 11 months and for the most part sleeps all night....10-12 hrs with the rare night where he needs a bottle. He does seem to need to be cuddled/rocked once a night
DD is 2 1/2 yrs and sleeps ALL night....12-13 hrs

DS is 11 months and pretty much sleeps from 7:30 to 7:30. He may want his pacifier at 5 or 6, but immediately goes back to sleep. God bless him!!

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
DS is almost 11 months old and sleeps 10-11 hours a night (goes down b/t 7-8PM and gets up b/t 6-6:30AM) and gets up around once or twice a night b/c he loses the pacifier (it falls out of the crib). Once you give it to him, he goes right back down though which is great. He has never needed a bottle during the night if he woke up and rarely needed rocking-only if hes sick and cant breathe good.

8m .. She is a good sleeper and i hope im not jinxing myself. She goes down around 7:30pm and usually wakes around 5:30am-6am. Shes rolling around alot, so im up most of the night in fear her face will be pressed against the mattress.. but other than me keeping myself up, she is a good sleeper.. were just trying to learn napping in crib right now during day..

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
DD sleeps most nights 8-9 hours some nights even more- she has an occasional night or two where she wakes 1 time (2 times is very rare)- after the 8--9 hours she will get up quickly eat and go back to sleep for a while. I don't think it is too unusual - when she wakes it is usually for teething, the neighbor dog barking at 2 or 3 am, something like that. When she does wake at night - if I get her she is back to sleep in under 5 minutes. I don't think it is too bad. My ped said 8-9 hours was pretty good - I don't think most kids sleep 12 hours - I think that is more rare - but I could definitely be wrong.

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
DD goes to bed between 7:30/8:00 most nights. She'll wake up about 1/2 hour after going down and I have to go in and rub her back...
Then she'll usually sleep till about 12/1/2 and wake up (wanting a bottle)...
Then she'll sleep till about 6:30/7:00
I should do CIO too, but I am weak...and she seems totally inconsolable without the bottle in the middle of the night...

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
I consider DD to be pretty good sleeper, but it definitely varies.
She is 9 months and now sleeps about 10 hours at night. Some nights she goes down pretty easily, though there are nights when it takes a little soothing.
Most nights she sleeps through, though there are nights when she wakes for her pacifier or we have to go in to pick her up for a couple minutes but not always and not often.
Very rarely-maybe once or twice a month, she needs a bottle in the middle of the night.

Since we stopped swaddling a GOOD NIGHT, which is MAYBE 1x a week is him going to bed at 8, STAYING asleep till MAYBE 11. Then he starts to wake up every hour or two. he flips over (he sleeps on his side) and has to be repositioned.
A BAD night, is he wakes up EVERY HOUR

Re: How does your DC sleep? (Please answer only if DC is over 3mos as before that I know the answer is different for most!)
Things are better with DD this week.
She's 4 months and will go down at 8:30 and sleep until 12:45. Then she wakes up hungry so I'll give her a bottle, change her and she'll go back to bed until 5:30.
We're starting her on solids this weekend because she has been eating sooooooo much. I think (hope) she may finally make it through the night after this.

DS is 5.5 months. He does wake up at night (I hear him on the monitor), but it's brief and he usually can get himself back to sleep. I think he usually sleeps around 10 hours a night.
