How far in advance do you usually get/send invitiations for a preschool b-day party?

Just curious. DS has only been invited to 3 so far but, he received an invite today for a party on Saturday - seems like short notice to me but, I am curious.

DH says RSVP no due to short notice but, it's DS' current BFF so I am going to RSVP yes since I don't know the parents and he's been begging for a playdate.

I send them out 2 months early, BUT have been invited last minute.

It doesn't really matter. If the kid plays well with yours, go and enjoy!

That is really short notice! I would go if you are available, especially if your DC likes the classmate.

I usually do invitations about 5 weeks prior. Most invitations we get are around 3-5 weeks prior to the party. The shortest notice we've received is about 2 weeks but never the week of.

Thanks for the feedback - I thought it was short. Now just have to get a present. Thankful for stores that carry multiple giftcards and Amazon Prime with such short notice.

I sent mine out a month early but, sometimes he gets very last minute invites.
