How far is your preschool from your home? What is the farthest you'd travel?
Would you mind sharing how far (distance) and how long it takes to walk/drive to preschool?
What is the furthest you'd travel?
I'm thinking 15 minutes and no highway.

I just signed DD up for September and it is about 2 miles away. Will take me 5 Minutes to get there. Unfortunatley I can't walk to it because I would have to go along a major road for the majority of the way.
I wanted to find a school within 10 minutes of driving time if it was possible.

I have 2 kids 23 months apart. DD1's nursery school is about 6-8 min from the house. It isn't bad but some days I feel like all I do is put DD2 into and out of the carseat and stroller to drop off/pick up DD1. less driving=more time between the seatbelt tango for both kids.

I was just thinking how big of a nightmare it is going to be to get DS#1 ready for school and getting us all in the car and going to/from preschool by 9am. I don't drive now but I'm sure this is smack in the middle of rush hour. Fun!
Our kids will be 24m apart.

DS's nursery school is about a mile down the road. I probably wouldn't go farther than 10 min. or so, especially because of traffic and weather conditions.

I would say about a mile. We can walk it with the double stroller in about 12-15 minutes.

Ours is literally on the next block. I can walk there. 1/2 hour max for me in distance if thst was an issue.

Mine is 3.4 miles away ( I googled it bec I was curious) I also cant walk it because I have to travel on Jericho tpke where is is like a highway (55 mph) otherwise I would on nice days!
It is a catholic school. I have a catholic school around the block from me but I chose to go to the one she goes to now bec it has a better reputation!
It takes me 8 minutes by car... probably wouldn't want to go much farther than that!

Mine is 40 minutes from home but only 1 minute from my work, so it’s fine. Honestly, I would drive that far if it was a place I loved and my kids loved. But then again, where I grew up, you have to drive at least 30 minutes to get ANYWHERE, so I don’t mind driving.

It is 3.3 miles from the house and about 6-8 minutes depending if I get stuck behind somebody or at the 2 lights.
I really can't imagine driving more than 10 minutes from the house, especially with having 2 kids. DS's first year in pre-school, DD would take her first nap while he was in school and it was perfect time because it still gave her a 2 hour nap. Now, he goes 3 full days and she goes 3 half days so I go back twice.
There are a few kids in DD's class that live 10-12 miles from the house and they waste 40-50 minutes just driving round trip and the class is only 2.5 hours.

A little less than a mile. I would not like it to be too far away and definitely wanted it in the same district as the school he'll be attending in kindergarten.

Less than one mile from my house. I can be there in under 5 minutes if I do not get stuck at the red light. Same thing for our elementary school. I LOVE that our schools are so close!

We live 15 minutes, taking Sunrise Hwy, from DD's school. I would not travel any farther than that. The school came highly recommended which is why we travel as far as we do.

Ours is 20 minutes away - but I know another family lives 10-15 minutes further than me even. It's worth it though, we LOVE our school.

DS' school is about 20 minutes away and he takes the bus. I would go up to 25 minutes (with heavy traffic area) but prefer to stay within 15-20 minutes.

Ours is 30 minutes away from our home b/c MIL drives/picks her up--so its close to her. I wouldn't go more than 10 minutes at this age.

One of our choices was at the end of our driveway!
But we chose one that is about a 7 minute drive.
I wouldn't choose something that was more than 15 minutes away. The amount of time she would be in school vs travel wouldn't have made sense if it was more than 15 min away.

the one my 3 year old goes to is just about a mile.
the one my 19 month will be going to in sept is about a mile and half.
i could walk to DSs but i wouldnt for DD.
DS also takes the bus

We put DD in preschool by my ILs since they watch her during the week. Since they are older we didn't want to go far. The school is about 7 mins from their house by car.
