how fast do you read a book?
dh bought the new james patterson book yesterday. we read some of it in the afternoon and in the car. before he went to sleep, he finished. i couldn't believe h ow fast that he read the book

Hmm.. well I read harry potter book 5 and 6 each in 24 hours time.
Depends on the book and the interest I have in it... but I am an english teacher so I read quite a bit.

That's always me. On my honeymoon I brought one book. Needless to say I had to buy THREE more while I was there (and obviously not at Border's prices!)

Really fast if I like it. My coworkers were amazed that I read Harry Potter books 3 and 4 last weekend. This weekend I am reading Book 5 and I am almost done.

On our HM or vacation I can finish 2 a day on the beach...say 3 hours time for a quick read like the Nanny Diaries.
I don't have much time to read for pleasure when I am home.

I am a very fast reader and can easily read a book in a few hours. DH says I am a freak - when we were first dating, I was in grad school and he would be over when I was reading. He was floored by how fast a book would go

It depends on the book and how much I am into it. I have read a few books recently in less than a day.
But I am also an English & special ed teacher so I am used to reading a lot.

I read quickly, but I also love to read and when it's good, I won't put it down.
DH takes a bit longer to read, but he only reads what interests him, which isn't much.
