How hard is photoshop elements to learn

Is it self explanatory or would it be out of my league to try and make my own holiday card?

I didnt play with it, I actually followed some directions I found on LIW. I learned how to do the b/w feature with color.

Then I had Barb on the phone with a mini lesson.

Its not easy but eventually you can get it.

I wouldn't say self explanatory. I also picked up a book and it was like a 101 of Elements and gave a few directions on how to do a few things.

I also watched a few youtube where ppl actually show you how to do specific things on there.

I've had it for over a year and can't do a thing with it. At least nothing really useful. You may be better than I am with it, but it's been a struggle for me.

I consider myself pretty computer savvy but I am totally clueless when it comes to photoshop. NOT self explanatory at all and I dont have to time to play with it

Barb has been my best resource for learning. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to sit with her and pick her brain on the program's capabilities. I also joined in on a webseminar that she conducted not too long ago.

With that under my belt I was confident to play around...and in my opinion that is the best way to work through it...play around with the program...come here and ask the questions but remember that you can always exit out - no damage done when you are in the program.

I feel that I use it on a very basic level...no masks, brushes...none of that fun stuff yet but I hope to one day venture that way.
