How has morning rush hour been this week?
Leaving East Islip tomorrow (Friday) morning to go back to Maryland. Most concerned with the Belt Parkway and Staten Island Expressway.
With the schools out this week, how light has traffic been? Normally on a weekday I leave here either by 6:00am the latest or after 8:30am, but I'm wondering if I have some flexibility given the holiday week. It's just me and the two kids, so the less traffic stress the better

yesterday there were multiple accidents on the SS pkwy, it took me forever to get to BK. I find that leaving my house around 9am is best. It usually takes me about an hour to get to the belt parkway.

I have found no traffic so far this week. I'm typically never able to take the SSP (I go west) and this week I have been able to take the SSP and get to work in less than half the time it normally takes me on a regular day.
ETA I can't speak of the Belt... I only go from Eastern to Western Nassau.

How has morning rush hour been this week?
My parents are doing that drive today to come visit me in Virginia. They left Williston Park at 5:00am and flew thru the Belt and Staten Island Expressway at that time. Hopefully its the same way for your tomorrow. Those two roads are the absolute worst!!!!

SSP was completely clear for me today but I only take it a for couple exists. I also left a little later than I usually do so I was on there are 7:45. it looked like it was a Saturday morning it was nice!

In general traffic has been MUCH lighter this week.
Except the day it snowed and that really slowed it all down.

How has morning rush hour been this week?
Hit or miss for me. Monday was easy bc of the holiday. Tuesday was slow bc of the weather. Wednesday was very sluggish bc of accidents. Today was fine. I take the LIE.

I leave wantagh about 8:30 and I hit all the typical traffic like i would with school in session. I was VERY annoyed about it too!!
I drive SS from wantagh pkwy to peninsula.

Belt is closed right now at Springfield Blvd Westbound due to an accident.
