I was single for a LONG LONG time. (I was 35 when I got married) so there's a HUGE adjustment on my part since I'm used to having my way.
Me too!!
It was hard at first esp. bc we found out 2 weeks after we got back from out HM that DH was being laid off. That was a huge stress on us and we had a few more issues to deal with in regards to DH's son which was another toll but, we worked thru everything and I love being married!
Can't wait to start a family next that would be the icing on the cake.

I love it. I wish we could spend more time together, but with his current work schedule it's hard. When we started living together it was just easy, we slide right into it like we'd been doing it forever. I hope it stays the same!

I love married life. Honestly, not much has changed. Our relationship is pretty much exactly the same as it always has been, which is refreshing.

Amazing!! we didnt live together before so its just so exciting to be together everyday! we never wanna be away from each other!
In the past 10 months we have been dealt some terrible hands..........deaths, multiple surgery's, major money issues, and some good hands.......... started a new business venture, looking for a house etc........... Every single aspect of this has just made us closer and closer- though of course very difficult to deal with and leearn to deal with together. There were points where we both broke down already, but we do not fight, which is amazing. In fact in the 5 years we have been together i can count the actual fights on one hand. (of course we do bicker, that doesnt count). In the end i remember one thing my in-laws told us at our rehersal dinner, that we both live by everyday:
Marriage isnt 50/50 its 100/100. When you are together you are one, of course you are an individual but when it comes to your relationship if you want it to last you deal with and accept all of lifes gifts both good or bad.........if you truly believe this, you can make it through anything together.
In the past 10 months we believe and live by exactly that.
I cant even begin to say how much i love being married to him!! Now its TTC time and we are just hoping to get preg with a healthy beautiful baby!

I honestly love it!!! We have ups and downs, as all marriages do, but I can honestly say that I'm just as happy as the day I married him! Our 2 year anniversary is coming soon and time is just flying by!

I am a newbie, and was only married on 5/30, but honestly - I don't feel married! The reason being is that DH and I didn't go on a HM (yet) and we took a week off after the wedding to work on our house. We were hoping to move in during that week (as we hadn't lived together at all before), but we ran into some home improvement snags so we weren't able to move in yet. So...we are living with my parents currently. And...DH went away on business for two weeks (he left last week), so I am still living at home with Mom and Dad...and now by myself - so I don't even feel married lol. Oh well, I am looking for DH to come home in a week so we can hopefully move in to our house then and then finally start our loves together!

We got married in October 09 at City Hall, then had a reception April '10. I havent felt any different for him or of our relationship since then. We are still two peas in a pod LOL. I actually still cringe at using the word "Husband" it just sounds so old. lol

Married life is great for the most part. I wouldn't want to not be married. It is work though. Just like any relationship. Sometimes though I must admit when he does something annoying or that I completely do not agree with I think to myself ...Holy Cr%p. This is forever 
Recently we have been fighting a bit, but its all growing pains I guess. The main thing for me is that I learn from each situation we are faced with and try and do things differently the next time around. I am learning to keep a balance between being my own person and standing up for what I believe and picking my battles.
EDITED: just realized that I may sound like I am not happy to be married. I truly am. I love being married to my best friend. I can't wait to start a family with him

No... what you sound like is totally realistic and i love hearing stories like this as compared to the "omg... my DH is SOOOOOOOOOO wonderful.. he does this, that, etc for me... blah blah blah" There has to be fights, there has to be times of learning... I dont think we ever stop learning from one another!

We lived together for 3 years before we got married. So that didn't change. I hyphenated my name (mainly use my old name- old habit). So not much changed for us- except when we argue now- i feel like we better get to the bottom of the problem and solve it. Before when u are just boy friend and girlfriend one would flirt with the idea that this is it...I am done... i want him to move out etc.
Now, he is mine with all his snoring and bad habits and i am his with all my shoes and bad habits.
We also are expecting or first child and did/doing major renovation in preparation for our little miracle. So we have been very busy for the short time of being married (august 09).
I love being married. I honestly didnt think it would have changed anything that is why i didnt see the "need" to get married. Now that i am - i love it.
i think i am looking forward to having my own "family" then maybe everything will all come crashing in.

Married life has been really great. We are coming upon our 2 yr anniversary in October. We have tried to go on several weekend getaways to different states and plan to continue that...We spent a weekend at Montauk manor; salem, Massachusetts; Vegas and the berksires so far...we love discovering new places. We had to put our explorations on hold for a while because things got really stressful for a while.
In February I found out I was pregnant. The day after I found out I was pregnant my husband got laid off. He's been laid off ever since and just got the call for more work this week. By March 6th I found out I miscarried and I've had my moments where I've been emotionally on edge since then and I can snap at any given moment (I'm working on it). Work has also been very stressful for me...I went back to work just days after losing the baby and I had to hit the ground running at work since then and it feels like the workload only grows more every day...I feel sooooo burnt out and it's been hard to be that burnt out with hubby not working.
However...all that being said...We have grown even closer...and we realize that if we can get through this...we can face anything together. After getting pregnant without trying and losing it...we now realize how ready we are for a baby and how much we really do want one. We are now TTC.
