How long after filing mortgage application did you get an appraisal?
How long after you filed your mortgage application did you get your appraisal? I am purchasing a house and my lender is telling me it will be at least 2 weeks before the appraiser will call the real estate agent for an appointment, but I think that sounds like a long time.

I work in mtgs, you mentioned a realtor, so I'm assuming this is a purchase?
on a purchase, as soon as we have a fully signed contract, we order appraisal, appraiser usually contacts within 2 days not weeks.

Once we signed our contracts the appraisal was ordered...it happened 5 days after that.

We just sold our house and it was almost a month from when we signed the contract until the appraisal was done. I was on pins and needles the whole time, hoping it would come in high enough!
