it depends how old the child is? My dd is 3 now we can do it in a hour or spend at least 2 hours but we go alot

I've been there twice and we spent no more than 2-3 hours and that was with eating and it not being too crowded.

We just went last month with my kids ages 3 and 1. My niece who is 7, me, DH and my mom. We spent 2 1/2 hours and ate lunch somewhere else.

How long can you spend at the riverhead aquarium?
I think it just depends on what you want to do and see and how crowded it is. We went to this morning, saw everything and the Sea Lion show and were out in under 2 hours. The place was empty, surprisingly for a Saturday.

all day--very easy to spend 5 hours if your kid is into it like mine are. We get there at opening and don't leave until dinner time

If you purchase a membership, it's a great deal. Pays for itself in two visits. I don't think I would ever go without a membership to be honest, since it's pretty pricey.
