how long did it take to hear you were approved for mortgage
We meet with our mortgage guy on Saturday and DH had to go back Monday with the check that we didn't know about for the appraisal.
When should we be hearing if we were approved for the mortgage?

We were in a rush at the end because we would have lost our interest rate so it took maybe 2 weeks, probably less. The underwriter did things fast!

The Branch Manager of Wells Fargo is the one that took care of our paperwork, and right there and then he said, "The great thing about being the boss is that I just approved you right now. You'll find out the same thing by mail in a week-it'll be official then." So we knew right away, but got a letter about a week later.

Took about a week before we were notified we were approved, but we were told at our application appt. that it definitely was not going to be a problem. The commitment letter came about 2.5 weeks after the initial appt.
