How long did it take you to get pregnant?
Hello all,
I hope this question is ok. I am wondering, how long did it take you to get pregnant?
Ever since my husband and I decided to try, I have become obsessed with looking up symptoms, counting days, and taking tests. I was actually convinced that this month we conceived since I was extremely tired, moody, peeing a lot, and somewhat crampy, but two tests came up negative.
Going to try again this month. Hoping for the best

How long did it take you to get pregnant?
Still TTC on month 13. My RE apt is Thursday! Try not to read into things I know it's hard but it does make you crazy!!! Good luck!

Thank you for your response and advice!! It is so hard trying not to read into everything, but I will try! I think my mind was going crazy this week since I was off from school. I go back to work tomorrow, so hopefully that will be a good distraction. Good luck to you!!

It's really important to try not to read into symptoms. It will make you crazy. I used to read into every little thing. Every month I would be miserable at work, at home, to my DH. We ended up doing IVF to have my DD after only 10 totally torturous months.
WE have been TTC DC2 for 20 months. Started seeing an RE after 18 months after wanting to try on our own for a while. I didn't test early, stress about anything, and it was, what it was. It was so much easier to deal with AF when it came.
I hope your TTC journey is short. Wishing you lots of luck. It's good you have a distraction it can be very helpful!

I agree. Please try not to read into things. It drove me crazy this for the last few months. We have been trying for two years on and off, and seeing a RE since October. I'm on my third IUI cycle, waiting to see if I'm pregnant or not. Just keep positive and believe it will happen but try not to stress. Stress plays a big factor in TTC. Good luck in your journey!

Took us 13 months both times. Second pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 11 weeks. Hoping it doesn't take another 13 months.

It took us about a year. I drove myself crazy some months taking pregnancy tests, and then it finally happened when I least expected it. I will suggest starting using OPKs right away. We didn't for the first maybe 6 months and we didn't do ourselves any favors. I used wondfo and found them to be highly reliable.

I've been very fortunate and both times I got pregnant very quickly. With my DS it only took 2 months. This last time I got pregnant on the very first try...but that one ended up being ectopic and I lost my left tube. With one less tube, I don't expect it to come as easily now.
I truly feel for all the women out there that struggle with IF  I know I've had it easy compared to so many.

How long did it take you to get pregnant?
It took us about 1-2 months. I say 1-2 because I didn't really know what I was doing the 1st month and as soon as I started tracking using with OPKs the 2nd month, I got pregnant. I do consider myself very lucky though, especially since I'm 35 and was just assuming it would take awhile.

It's been 2.5 years now trying for my 2nd. We've been seeing an RE now for 4 cycles.

For our first, about 3 months.
This time, we were TTC on and off for almost a year. Once I got OPKs and started tracking it was 4 months.

How long did it take you to get pregnant?
our first took 3 months, I am currently due March 31st with my second and it took 22 long and stressful months. Please try not to look into anything, the process will control you after a couple months of TTC. It's best to just go with the flow and then go for testing if it doesn't happen within a year and take it from there.
I know it's easier said than done, and when people would tell me that I would say well you are not in my shoes in my head, but I wish I followed that advice. When I did finally get a grip on things is when I got pregnant naturally 22 months later.

First time - 2nd month of trying
Second time - 17 months.. no rhyme or reason why didn't happen sooner. I agree with the other girls, reading into symptoms will drive you insane.

DS took a year, but we only got pg after seeing an RE.
DD took 2 months, but only 1 month of treatment with the RE.

How long did it take you to get pregnant?
2.5 years for DD1.
DD2 was not planned and was conceived after one night of unprotected sex.
You can't let yourself go crazy looking into symptoms and waste pregnancy tests. Any month that I was convinced I was pregnant, I wasn't. The one month I just knew I was out, was the month I was pregnant.

How long did it take you to get pregnant?
Over 2.5 years and over a year of that was with a RE.
Don't look into symptoms. I didn't have any symptoms until about 6 weeks pregnant.

With my DD, my 1st, we did an IUI and I got pregnant right away. With my DS, my 2nd, it took well over 2 years of trying before we conceived him. I had 2 miscarriages, 1 chemical and about 4-5 failed IUI's. I gave up, didn't think it was every going to happen and walked away from ALL of my IF treatment. Two months after that I conceived my DS completely naturally. I never expected it to take that long with #2 and we were shocked that after all of that treatment we ended up conceiving on our own, barely trying. I guess he was meant to be. 
ETA - With my DD I KNEW without a doubt at 5DPO I was pregnant. I felt SO, SO different and I had a bunch of symptoms. I just knew!!.........and I was right, faint BFP at 10DPO. With my DS, I had NO symptoms and I didn't feel different at all. At 9DPO (at night no less!!) I got a super strong BFP. I couldn't believe it!!

#1 - almost a year, then 5 months on Clomid
#2 - 2 months of Clomid.....lost baby at 27 weeks
#3 - 3 months of Clomid, then 1 month IUI w/ Clomid....due in March

#1 - first try, first month.
This time - started trying in August. Got pregnant in Dec - ended in a chemical. Got my BFP this month and hoping it sticks
