All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I'm having such a hard time. I can't wait for pregnancy to be over. I miss not feeling sick all the time. I miss being happy. I miss my old life.

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I was exactly the same way. I was miserable the entire time, every moment.
But, I will give you a ray of hope. Literally, within ONE hour of my DS being born I felt better. And I kid you not, I had hyperemesis, I threw up CONSTANTLY. I threw up blood while in LABOR. But as soon as he was out, I felt better.
So, the end is near

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I am very newly pregnant and not very happy. I cannot believe I am saying this, I am usually not so selfish, but timing could have been better. We were trying for 6 months and nothing happened so we planned a vacation and some sad family news just happened and I found out this week I am pregnant. I have a million questions and feel so unsure about everything. My husband says everything will be fine and is so happy, but I cry. I am not ready, I thought I would be when it happened but I am not. I feel like a horrible person!

Don't feel alone! Read between the posts! Not everyone is hunky dory! I always joke and say that I've yet to see the joy in pregnancy that everyone talks about! Sure when people ask how I feel I say great! I'm having a baby and thrilled about it. But how do I "feel"? I feel like something is living inside me sucking out all of my nutrients and energy! I cannot wait for the day to hold my baby in my arms and this "joyride" is a faint memory in the distance!
Hang in there!

Not sure what week your in but I can totally understand. For me once I get to 30 weeks I feel so done and just can't take it anymore. It's such a drag but when you have your baby it's amazing but it will all fade from your memory.

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I wouldn't say I'm "happily pregnant"...
There are actually quite a few things I can't wait to get back to...a normal eating schedule, and not feeling full so quickly, wine, sushi, not having to pee all the time
I would say I'm tolerating it...I think things would be easier right now if I wasn't...I just hope and pray its all worth it at the end...
you're not alone :)

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
If there's any comfort to you, please know that every pregnancy is soo different. I didn't feel sick at all with my first pregnancy. With this one, I'll be missing at work for 4 days because I feel horrible. Plus having this weather like this doesn't provide too much encouragement to venture out. So hang in there...once you see that little face for the first time, it makes all of this sooo worth it.....

I am not having a good time, I always knew I would not like being pregnant, and I don't! On good days I feel discomfort, on the bad days I am in so much pain I want to shoot myself
I am so excited to be a mommy, but I can not wait to not be pregnant anymore!!
Hang in there

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I am happy being pregnant.... happy to carry a baby that will be born and mine/my husband's
..... BUT i dont like the congestion that has been lingering since OCTOBER or the fact that i seem to eat more than i should have which started in December....waking up to pee in the middle of the night- which went away for a month but seems to be coming back

I agree. I hated being pregnant. I thought I would love it but I couldnt stand it...I hated not understanding my own body any more and feeling like my body just wasnt mine.
But I agree with Kate, the minute they took DS out I felt better in many ways. DS never dropped he was in my ribs until he was born (oh yeah and he was nearly 10lbs) they took him out and I could breathe again, it was like a 100 lb weight was taken out....and the heartburn I felt nearly instant relief!
Oh yeah and I would do it all again for that feelign I had the first time I saw my son and heard him cry...not yet but eventually!

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
you are not alone!!!!
i was miserable pregnant the first time, and although it's not as bad this time around, i'm basically miserable again. with VERY few exceptions (like feeling the baby moving inside me... and that's about it, actually), i absolutely despise being pregnant. i am tolerating it a second time ONLY because of how wonderful it has been having my son! i PROMISE that once you hold your little one in your arms all the misery will start to fade away. you may not ever do pregnancy again (it's such a personal decision, and such a hard one once you've had a miserable first pregnancy), but this time will all have been worth it!!
hang in there!!!!!!

You aren't alone. I don't hate being pregnant, but I have not had the most comfortable pregnancy at all. I am very anxious for it to be over, but at the same time, I am very thankful that I have this opportunity when so many others do not.

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I was fine for most of my pregnancy, but now I am so done with it. I am 37 weeks, and I've been done since about 32 weeks lol.
I feel so uncomfy, it's so hard to sleep, I have to pee every 20-30 minutes, and I keep getting colds for the past month on and off..it sucks being sick and pregnant. I am praying he comes early. Not to mention that I had a shortening cervix and was on bedrest..and I just don't get how before, the dr's were so worried about me delivering early, and now, he's refusing to come out..sigh.

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
You obviously aren't alone. I thought I would be able to embrace it, but that hasn't happened yet. I am constantly worried and it's consuming. Don't get me wrong I am thrilled we are pregnant and going to have a child, I just always knew that being pregnant was going to be really tough for me. I am having a really hard time with the weight gain and I know it's for the right reasons but it makes me depressed and I feel like I am driving DH crazy with it. Hang in there, we all know it's worth it in the end!

It must be terrible to be sick all of the time. I could certainly understand your point of view----if I was sick all the time, I don't think I'd be all that thrilled either. You kind of just have to allow yourself to feel the way that you do. Everyone's experience is different. You will see the beauty it in after you give birth!
