Re: How long do you wait when you go to Dr. appt.?
Usually about 1/2 hour, and all of my appointments fall between 4 - 5:30 p.m. Two hours sounds really unreasonable to me.

I don't think I've waited more than 15 minutes.

Re: How long do you wait when you go to Dr. appt.?
funny you mention this, last time around I would go in right away this time 1st appt waited 1 1/2 hours and today 1/2 hour- but both times they were short staff and training so I am assuming that is why. it drives my DH nuts though

Re: How long do you wait when you go to Dr. appt.?
i waited an hour and 15 minutes today. but the doctor had rounds before hand and came late. so it's really not all his fault.
it's so easy to say "switch doctors". i love my doctor, and although i hate waiting, i realize that he is working at the hospital before coming to his office and things happen. i make the first evening appointment available and can't do daytime.
i would NEVER switch my doctor because of waiting. his level of care and comfort far surpass and inconvenience on my part. i'd rather wait 2 hours for him and know i have as long as i need with him than wait 15 minutes and not be as happy.

Re: How long do you wait when you go to Dr. appt.?
I have waited 1 to 2 hours in total before. I've gotten frustrated but ususally suck it up because I am comfortable there.
But I have a clarification to ask - for those of you who don't wait that long - are your appointments during the weekday, early? Whenever I was able to go earlier in the day, I didn't wait as long. There are too many appointments now to miss days at work. Who only waits a few minutes for their appointment when it is after 5:00? (I may need to think about changing doctors in the future!)
(I hope that made sense!)

Re: How long do you wait when you go to Dr. appt.?
The first OB I picked, I had to wait almost 2 hours and it was clear that they overbooked patients. DH and I found it ridiculous. We switched practices because we didn't feel comfortable having her deliver our baby, and the amount of time we waited to see her didn't help the situation any. Now we wait about 10-15 minutes max. Only once did we have to wait 45 minutes. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day I go now- the wait hasn't been that long and the docs are a lot more attentive to our needs.
