How long does it take to get a replacement birth certificate in the mail?
DH needs one for his new job and we have no idea where his original one is. We plan to order it online but does anyone know how long it takes? TIA

U might be better off getting one in person, when we got our marriage license we had to show that and dh didn't have one so he went to the town where he was born to ge it

Thank you for responding. I was hoping to avoid having to get in person being that we have to travel to Manhattan and thats a 1.5 hr trip  but it seems like thats our only choice. Thanks again!

There is a website that I ordered mine from- can't recall what it was- but google it.
You can pay a rush fee if you need it fast.

If he was born in NYC, you can order it online with express shipping.

I ordered mine this way last year and I got it pretty quickly.

I still had the order & delivery emails - it took one week. I ordered it on a Thursday evening and received it the following Wednesday. HTH!
