How long from first steps, to full on walking?
Today is day 3 of walking-- and yesterday she was doing it a lot more... but today, DH said she apparently forgot how to do it.
Anyway-- of course she is still faster crawling, but I was wondering, what's the normal progression?
And how soon til she's just more confident in general and more skilled? I am worried she's gonna fall face first into a piece of furniture!

it was probably about a month to a month in a half where he was more stable and i didn't have to follow him afraid he'd knock a tooth out.

Re: How long from first steps, to full on walking?
sadie literally walked one day and never crawled again.
She had taken a few steps here and there in the few days before and then one day just walked and walked and walked.

Re: How long from first steps, to full on walking?
I remember Lily took her first real steps on the 4th of July, and by the end of July she was running. So it was all within a few weeks. (if only potty training was that quick....)

Brayden did 2-6 steps at a time for about a week, and then was full blown walking..

Ditto..Chels went through the "I forgot how to walk stage" for about two weeks...She started taking steps at 16.5 mos..today at 17.5 mos she's running inside the house, as of this week she really started picking up speed and walking more than crawling...like I would say 95% walking and 5% crawling...also this week was when she first started to feel comfortable letting go of my hand outside and walking on her own..she was always very tentative outside and wanted to hold onto something

Re: How long from first steps, to full on walking?
DD took her first steps a few days after her bday and was walking full-time by 13 months. In between, she was getting braver about walking but preferred crawling because it was still faster and more effective.

DD took her first steps right before her 1st birthday, and just started really walking regularly now at 14.5 months.
