how long from pee in potty to poop ...

he wont poop in potty, he holds it in! driving me insane.

I told him he can ask me for diaper if he wants to poop in diaper. but always try to encourage poop in potty. but lately hes not even asking, instead holding it in... so I kept him in diaper... which defeats peeing in the potty.

he pees without much issue now.. has been for couple of months.

My DS has been pee trained without incident since November. He's finally getting better with the poop but still needs to be reminded to go & at times brought into the bathroom. Have you tried to give him foods that would trigger him to have to go?

James was pee trained for a year before he finally got the poop thing down. He would ask for a pull-up - so he KNEW he had to go - but refused to poop on the potty. it finally clicked about 3 weeks ago and it's been smooth sailing ever since. He even wipes his own butt!

DS was pee trained within a matter of days (trained him over Valentine's day/weekend and he was 2 yrs 8 months old. Poop -- we've had some setbacks (he had gotten it and then regressed) but it looks like we are back on track!

BTW when I trained him, I threw out all the diapers and never looked back.

DS potty trained in 1.5 days, no accidents. I put straight into undies. He held his poop in the 1st day but went poo poo in the potty on day 2. At that point he's poo 2-3 times/day and day 2 he only went once. By day 3 he went twice and was fine from them on. I waited until DS was 2 weeks shy of 3 yrs old. He finally pooped in the potty after seeing daddy go on the potty. Also, we used a potty seat on the regular toilet. And bc I never give DS candy, I used M&M's as incentive. 1 for pee pee and 3 for poo. Worked like a charm. GL!
