How long in the bassinett?
At what age did everybody move their babies out of the bassinett?
My little girl is 7 weeks old, and she still fits in it, but sometimes I wake up and she has the back of her head up against the side, and her feet kind of diagonally at the other side. I have one end elevated to help with her digestion, and she kind of slides down toward one end during the night.
She is not waking up from being uncomfortable so should I just leave her until she does?

Re: How long in the bassinett?
We moved Bella from the bassinet to her crib at 8 weeks...worked out pretty well. She started sleeping better once she was out of our room.

We moved the kids around 12 weeks. They also started sleeping better when they were in their own room.

Re: How long in the bassinett?
When they roll over is when they need to be taken out. My kids were out 3-4 months.
Maybe she's putting herself in that position because in the womb she was surrounded by something & she doesn't like the space?

We moved DS to his crib at 6 weeks. We all slept sooo much better once we made the transition!

Re: How long in the bassinett?
we started out having bella sleep in her crib from 8-12pm at around 3 months. 2 weeks later she slept through the night there.

Re: How long in the bassinett?
I am no help. Hayley spent the first 2 weeks home from the hospital sleeping in her swing or on me or Tom, she HATED the bassinett....I then moved her into her crib, she was barely 4 weeks old.

Re: How long in the bassinett?
If she's still sleeping I would leave her. If she's uncomfortable, she'll let you know. DS manages to slowly turn his body counterclockwise in his crib until he's facing the other direction. i have no idea how he does it, especially since he's swaddled. last night i found him with the top of his head pressed up against the slats in the crib so i very carefully moved him away just a bit. I didn't want him to wake up from banging his head against the wood. If I had a bumper in the crib I probably would have just left him.

This must be what it is because when I put her in last night, I put her in straight and at the top. 30 minutes later she was scooted down and diagonal again. I adjusted her before I went to sleep and after about 15 minutes of fussing, she was back in the same position and stayed that way all night. I'm not fighting it anymore.

My son is 3 months and I am not ready to move him out yet. I will probably move him out next month.
