How long is too long in a maxi dress?
So I bought a maxi dress for a wedding next week!!! I also bought 4 inch wedges to wear with it. I have tried it on 100 times and still cannot make up my mind if its too long or not.
I can see my toes when I walk but thats about it...the dress is touching and a little bit dragging on the ground - I would say it sweeps the ground a little as I walk.
Is this a major No no and I should just scramble and see if I can get it taken up?
What say you fashionistas?

I am short and have a maxi dress that I cannot wear unless I wear heels and even then it covers my feet. I still wear it.

Same except I don't even wear heels with the exception of a small wedge. Just be careful when you walk!

I wouldn't do dragging because then the dress gets so dirty. You'd be surprised at home much it picks up even when you don't realize it was dragging.

I'm clumsy, so personally, I wouldn't want to wear something that I would feel uncomfortable in and have the potential of tripping in.
Also are you going to be comfy dancing in that?
Otherwise, I'm all for maxi dresses.

I don't wear maxi dresses but it sounds to me like you need to hem it. You don't want to trip on it, dancing might be hard, and it will get flithy. I'd see if you could get a quick hem- try a dry cleaner.

Ditto. Sometimes I find i have to pick it up, especially on the stairs but it doesn't bother me.
If you're that concerned, just go get it hemmed!

Hem it. Does anyone know a place that sells petite maxi dresses?

if you don't hem it a little, your feet will get caught in it as you walk and you'll end up tripping (says the person who's done this)

i feel like if you cant see toes while just standing, its too long and looks sloppy - especially for a wedding, definitely get it hemmed!

If you can easily walk in it, its't not too long.
