Maxi dress question

Hi All,

I was wondering if I'm too short to pull off maxi dresses. I'm 5ft 2in-your thoughts?

I just love them but worried I'm too short

Thanks in Advance

Re: Maxi dress question

yes, I think so

Jessica Simpson had one on in some pic the other day and I thought it made her look short and she's 5'3"

Re: Maxi dress question

No way. I am 5'4" and I look fine in maxi dresses and i wear flats with them too. I think you should try a few on. Try this one from Gap i n Petite.

maxi

But hurry up! They're running out of sizes! You might have to go into a store or two to find one.

Re: Maxi dress question

I think you probably are-I am 5'4 and think I am too short. But, it also depends on your shape. I would go try one on.

Re: Maxi dress question

I was in retail for many years.. To me its bull that you are too short.. I used to hear that all the time.. I would convince the girl to try it on and 9 out of 10 they agreed.. Long makes you look long.. I hate when a short girl has on a short short dress.. Now that makes you look short .. Just at your knee or just above is a great length and maxi right above your ankle.. That is very very flattering.. Go see for yourself..

I agree--I'm 5'4", but heavy, so I don't like that look on me.

I used to wear long a lot, espcially, in the mid 90's, when the long flowered dress look was in & I was smaller, but I feel it's just too much dress now.

I think Jessica simson looked cute in that red dress in the airport.

I love them on other people but being just shy of 5'4 I look frumpy in them Chat Icon

It is also really hot where I live, I don't need a long dress!
