How many calories are you supposed to eat???
Seriously this is the hardest thing I deal with!!! I exercise like a lunatic but i can't lose any weight because idk how much i'm supposed to be eating. I read some articles that tell me I should be eating 1800 calories a day (I'm 5'3" and 135lbs) That seems a little nuts to me! WW would tell me to have 18-20 points a day which roughly translates to 1000 calories and Then I heard the whole thing of where your supposed to multiply what you want to weigh by 10 and eat THAT many calories.
Anyone that can shed some light on this please. I'm killing myself and I keep gaining and losing the same 4lbs.

HI I'm 5'2 132 lbs. I eat 1200 calories(as per a nutritionist) a day give or take. Eat lean meats, high grains, and veggies and fruit. HTH

that's probably with. I was given 1400 to 1600 by my nutritionist and I'm 5'7". I forget the exact stat, but to lose weight youre supposed to burn more calories than you consume. so if you eat a 300 calorie meal and burn 400, and follow the same pattern with most meals, you will lose weight.
there is a stat that says it takes this much exercise to burn a certain amount of calories, but of course i can't remember it.

You can track the foods you eat and the activities you do and it shows how much you have available.

I am borrowing my friends Body Bugg for 2 weeks, it is pretty cool bc it shows me how many calories I burn per day. There is an online program as well that gives a plan and I can also enter my food.
Ok so I burn about 1800-2200 calories a day, depending on how much exercise I do. It could go over 2200 depending on how many miles I run you know but an avg day is what I said 1800-2000?
According to the plan, if you want to lose 1 lb a week, you need to burn 500 calories a day. So if I burn 2200 a day, my intake should be around 1600. Make sense? Now I dont know if this works per se but that is what this tells me. Now I think it is different for each person and depends on your body weight, height, resting heart rate, etc, etc. I am sure there is a calculator out there though!

Hi sorry with working out.
Gym with trainer M W F I run 30 min train 30 min. I run tues and thurs when I can. HTH
I've been doing this for 2.5 months now and have lost 2 inches from waist and hips. and have lost 5% body fat. built a lot of muscle so I only lost like 7 lbs but I am in better shape then when I was 17 lol

Find out your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) here:

This is the number of calories you'd burn if you stayed in bed all day. So add to that how many calories you burn while exercising and get the amount of cals you should be eating if you don't want to lose any weight. If you wanted to lose 1 pound a week subtract 500 cals per day or 3500 per week. HTH!

Thanks everyone for the input!!! Its just alot of mixed info out there its so hard. I gotta see what works for me. I feel like I keep trying diff combos of everything and nothing is working
