How many days on BCP before starting IVF?
Looks like I am on my way. Day 1 will be tomorrow and I was told to start BCP on Day 3 for about 18 days. Saline sono has to be scheduled between day 5-10. They will then tell me when I have to come in for blood work and ultrasound and receive my dated protocol. Does that sound about right? OMG I am so freaking excited and nervous!!!! I feel like I am going to throw up!

How many days on BCP before starting IVF?
Yep -- sounds about right. Everyone's individual schedule can vary slightly. I was on BC for 21 days -- the only pills I didn't take were the inactive sugar pills. I had my saline sono on CD 7 and started to take antibiotics the day before the saline sono (DH was told to take them, too) and was on them for 5 days. This is my first cycle and I can relate to your excitement and nerves about the procedure! I freaked out when I got my first medication delivery and laid everything out on my dining room table -- it looks like soooooo much stuff, but my best advice is to just take everything one day at a time. I freaked out the first night of my injections -- it took me forever to mix the meds and load the needle (okay, it was probably 25 minutes but felt like forever -- I was getting frustrated and started to cry -- DH tried to calm me down, I snapped at him, he yelled at me, I yelled back at him -- can you picture this in your mind?!?!) Well, long story short, the nightly injections are now just a part of our routine. I can mix the meds and load the needle in like 3 minutes and DH gives me the shot in less than a minute. Just remember to breathe, take it easy, and keep your eyes on the prize -- you are going through all of this for the greatest gift ever -- a baby!!! Feel free to FM me if you need anything!

Sounds right, mama! I was on less days bc I have DOR so they didn't want to over suppress me. Good luck this cycle!! So exciting!!

I was on Bcp for 10 days but I think it depends on each persons cycle. Good luck. Very exciting!

Just got official protocol. 18 days BCP and then it's game ON. if all goes according to plan - and that's a big IF - we are looking at an early September embryo transfer
