How many IVF or FET cycles before you got BFP?
So I know some gals are so fortunate to get pg on the IVF #1. I am wondering how many tries some of you had to endure before getting a BFP. I am hoping something will inspire me to keep at this instead of turning to adoption.

My first IVF I did conceive but it was a chemical ....
My 2nd IVF I conceived my DD...they were both fresh cycles because I did not have any to freeze from the first one.....

My first IVF was a fresh cycle and I got a BFN.
I had 2 FETs and were both BFPs (unfortunately, both were m/c)

1 ST- fresh and first FET- nothing
new cycle- 1st fresh and first FET
bfp-
LOST TWINS AND THEN LOST MY SINGLE FET
ALL DUE TO TRISOMY 21
SO FRESH AND FROZEN DO WORK....GOOD LUCK TO YOU. DON'T GIVE UP. i AM STARTING MY 3RD CYCLE, AND I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I GET MY BABY I DO NOT CARE IF IT TAKES ME 100 CYCLES...

IVF #1 BFN
IVF #2 Chemical/Ectopic???
IVF cycle #3 cancelled due to poor response
IVF cycle #4 w/PGD - only five fertilized so we froze to batch with next cycle
IVF #5 w/PGD got BFP. Just had  10/13/09
I am not counting the 2 cancelled cycles in between the three....for a total of five stim cycles
Technically our last and sucessful cycle was both a fresh and a FET. After PGD, we transfered 2 fresh and 1 frozen....they were all XYs so we cant say which one stuck.

I was very lucky to have gotten pregnant with my first IVF cycle and with triplets. The RE gave me a 35% chance that the cycle might work and well I really showed them.... Not to bad for an old chick....

#1 Fresh cycle- BFN
FET- chemical
#2 Fresh cycle- canceled due to poor response
#3 Fresh cycle- BFN
#4 Fresh cycle- BFP, currently 15 weeks pg.
There is hope!

It took three IVF cycles to get pg with my first and one for my second.
Here's a little statistic that helped me... 70% of women going through IVF will get pg by the third cycle.

had my daughter the natural way when I was young!! er! a big fat 4 years ago!
IVF #1 BFN
IVF#2 BFP with miscarriage
IVF #3 I cant wait to start stimming so that I can be one of the 70%!
You guys are such an inspiration, I thought I had it rough till I read some of the posts. Good luck to all of us! We are soo resilient!

I am an anomaly but here goes...
1st IVF cycle, 1 chemical on an FET
2nd IVF cycle, PG on my 2nd FET - lost the baby at 22 weeks, did 3 more FET's with 2 chemicals
3rd IVF cycle, no fresh transfer, PG on the first FET

My 1st cycle was a BFN and I was devastated. I also had none to freeze.I have PCOS and my embryos had fragmentation.
My 2nd cycle resulted in my DS! He was born in August. For this cycle, I switched REs and went with a doc who was much more aggressive,who put me on Metformin and I also did yoga and acupuncture, changed prenatal vitamins, ate oatmeal with ground flax seed, took coQ10 vitamins and prayed and prayed! This cycle also resulted in 4 to freeze. No fragmentation.

1st IVF cycle - pregnant with my now 20 month old DD.
2nd IVF cycle (1st cycle for baby #2)- BFN
3rd IVF cycle - will be a FET done in the next week and a half - I'll update you with the results.
