How many kids do you want? What do you think is ideal sibling spacing?

I want 2 or 3 kids. If we have one and one , I'd probably stop at 2. If we have 2 boys, we'll probably go for a third.

I think 2-2.5 yrs is perfect spacing. I'm trying to give my DS a sibling about 2 yrs younger than him. We'll see how TTC goes.

I would like 2 at 2 years apart. I have no preference to gender. We have had difficulty TTC#1 so I don't know if I will put my body through the meds a 2nd time. So I will be happy to have 1.

2, DH wants 3...we have a DD, DH is praying to get his boy...I'd be thrilled if I had one of each and be equally thrilled if I had another DD...I think if we have another DD, DH is def going to be on me to try for a third to hopefully get him a boy

We want 3, each about 2 yrs apart.

I'd love 3 (all boys ) but DH wants just 2. He and I are both around 3 years apart from our siblings, which I don't think is bad. At least by 3 they are on a year or so away from school and you can have them "help"

We have one child already who just turned 2. Hopefully we will get pregnant quickly and our next one will be no more than 3 years younger.

We are stopping at 2. If finances weren't an issue I'd consider a third.

I'd like 2 children, maybe 2 years apart. Although, now that I know TTC is not bing, bang, boom like you are taught in high school we will likely try immediately after #1 and hope to have them back to back.

Honestly I would love to have just one. DH is totally against having an only child (he's got 2 brothers and a sister) so we've compromised at at least 2 maybe 3, God willing of course.

I think anywhere from 2-4 years age difference is good.

My sister and I are almost 7 years apart and we don't have the best relationship because of it. We've always been at TOTALLY different places in our lives and as a teenager I spent a lot of my time taking care of her which lead to some resentment for both of us. So IMO anything more than 4 years is just too much.

But that was quite some time ago. Now I'd say that I'd be happy with 2 if I could get one of each. Thing is, DH HAS to have a son and I HAVE to have a daughter so I guess, time will tell.

As far as sibling spacing - I always wanted to have my kids young enough that I wouldn't have to feel pressured to have them one on top of the other. I really want to enjoy my first for a good 2 years before the arrival of a sibling. But again, that's in an ideal world.

I want 2!! I would want 3 but the thought of paying for college would make me think twice. If I had 2 boys I would consider going for a girl.

2 years apart would be nice.

I would love 4 DH say 2 maybe 3 I think I can settle on 3. We have a DS and DH family seems to just produce which is fine if I have all

I would love them all to be close ideally 18 months to 2 years apart

I want 3, I've always wanted 3 but I am 35 now and still TTC #2 so I guess we'll see. My DH would be happy with 2 but will have 3 if I really want. He would really want 3 if we have another .

I used to think 4 was a good #. DH and I have compromised at 3. If we have a this time, we may stop at 2... but I really would love to have 3 children! When I start thinking how hard pregnancy was on me, 2 sounds like a good number I come from a large family and love having brothers and sisters. I want my DC to experience that too.

As of right now, I think I would like to just have 1. But we'll see how 1 goes and then make a decision if we want to try for a 2nd, lol.

I think 2.5 to 3 years is a good span.

I honestly don't know how many kids I want! I used to always say 4 because I am from a big family and love it. DH wants 2 - 3. Prior to TTC, I thought I'd want to have 1 and a half years between kids but may just start trying right away seeing as this is taking a LONG time.


I really do not want 2..it's too "perfect family" for me... JMO, not trying to offend anyone! I'm from a wacky family of 5 kids!

ets: as far as spacing, two years is ideal, but i have to see where i will be at my job to determine that
