How many naps at 4 months old???
Just wondering how many naps a 4 month old needs. Is this when you start doing 2 naps a day?

Alexa takes 2-3 naps a day.. it depends on how long they are... I don't let her stay awake longer then 1.5 hours at a time or she gets too cranky and over tired

At 4 months we changed to 2 naps and 1 catnap (in the evening).

Mine were taking 3 at that age. They are down to two now, although sometimes they'll take a 3rd. They fight the third nap tooth and nail though.

Same, but sometimes I get a third short nap in the early evening if she wakes up early for the day or something

My DD is 12 months and still takes 3 naps a day 
ETA: It is mostly b/c she wakes up early and her afternoon nap is over around 1, so she can't seem to make it until 7:30 for bedtime

my problem is he needs help staying asleep for naps and night...which means i don't sleep at night.

DD is 4 months and takes 3 naps. She takes a longish morning nap, a longish early afternoon nap and then a short catnap around dinnertime.

ds took 3 naps a day until around 9 months i think.  He just required a lot of sleep.
Around 4- 5 1/2 months though he was taking about 4 naps a day because he was so overtired that his naps were like 30-45 minutes each.

My 4 month old naps in the morning (9 or 10) in the early afternoon (1 or 2) and again late afternoon (4:30 or 5) Sometimes (unfortunately -most of the time) they are short - 30min- unless we are out in the car/stroller- then he will go longer!

Sometimes 3 or 4 but rarely past an hour. The shortest was 15 mins, She wasn't much of a napper at birth and DH wasn't a napper also
Me on the other hand LOVES to sleep.
