How many of you want to conceive right away after this one?
For myself I would like to more so for medical reasons. It took me 2 long years and many sad events to get where I am now and I've always wanted a big family. I'm so happy and blessed with this little bean I have now growing inside me, I can't wait to see him or her.
Are any of you planning on conceiving right away?
I was told that you will be more fertile post delivery. How far along should you wait to try again? Some people I've talked to said at least 4 months.

We plan on TTC as soon as possible after this one. We would like to have 2 children close in age. Hopefully everything will go well for us and we will be able to.

It's funny, DH and I always wanted them right back to back, Irish Twins, now after having gotten into the 3rd trimester, there is no way I can do this again right away. My body needs a break!!!!

DH and I haven't really discussed it yet but I think we might be trying again 1 year after I give birth...I'm hoping to get pg around the same time of year so I don't have to buy any more clothes!! And more importantly, if we can do it financially.

It is best to wait about 2 years to get PG with another child so your body can recoup from the 1st pregnancy.
Since I am already "old", I will not wait more than 2 years to go for #2.

We're planning on waiting about 2 years or so before the next one...we don't want them too far apart, but we want to enjoy babydom with the first before having a second.

After I have my 2nd I plan on taking at least 2 years off.
I never heard of waiting 2 years for your body to go back to "normal state". I heard 4 months but that didn't come from a doctor. I'm going to ask my dr about this later in my pregnancy. I'll let you know what she says.

I just want to say if I didn't have any issues I would probably wait a year or two but I was told that the more I wait the more harder it will be to conceive. I will be much more fertile after I have this one then if I wait two years to try again. The condition I have is called endometriosis and it just makes a mess in my reproductive area. I've had 3 surgeries within a two year time frame in that area to remove cysts and scar tissue it creates. I just hate thinking about it.
When I have my 2nd baby I plan on taking at least a 2 year break and by the grace of God try for #3.

We have too many factors to go with a 'plan'. I might have to go right back on chemo after the baby, so we are leaving it up to God.

My husband discussed that we will have no more than two kids and I think the second one won't be in the picture until we purchase our house and are all settled in...we're looking at another 3 or 4 years...I have time.

we won't be, this was a rough pregnancy for me (having morning sickness the WHOLE time) and honestly i need a break, plus me and my DH got pregnant so soon after getting married (even though it was planned b/c they thought i had PCOS) i would like to enjoy life as the three of us for a while. We will prob wait 3 years ot have our 2nd.

I tired to make "plans" so many times in my life that I feel as if God laughs at me when I do. 
I have always wanted more than one child, and wanted them close in age. I WANT Irish twins, or just the 2 under 2... but who knows what is in store for us?? Right now, I'm concentrating on this little  and figure DH and I will really talk about it once she's here.
(I"m already "old" too, so that's another factor- I never wanted to be this old and having my first, let alone my 2nd).

LOL Plans don't work out for me either. I wanted to have my first by the time I was 30, and I'll be 32 when I actually will.
BUT I would like to try maybe a year after having the first. That way they can be a couple years apart. I don't want them too far apart in age, and plus I'd like to be done before I'm 35. (Now that I said it, it won't happen LOL)

I used to work in a "women reproductive health" non-profit organization and that was what people recommend to moms. You can ask your dr. They recommend 1 to 2 years between kids.

Hey if you want to go for it, def do!!
I got pg when DD just turned 5 months old. I wanted to wait til she was 1 1/2 but it didn't work out that way.
I am now 34.5 weeks, and I cannot wait for this one to come. We are done after this, but for me there are soo many more positives than negatives having babies close together.
I can't wait to get my body back, I've been pg and bf'ing for the last 2 years without a break!
If i were you, do want you want and dont' look to anyone for validation!
