How many of you went into labor after an internal or stripping of membranes?

just curious -- if you went into labor after an internal or having your membranes stripped, how many weeks were you and how long after the appointment did you go into labor? Also, did you have any symptoms (cramping, losing mucus plug, etc.) after your appointment?

I had my 39 week appt the day I went into labor. The appointment was in the morning around 9am. All she did was a regular internal exam. I went into labor that night around 10pm. I had absolutely no symptoms the entire day, just felt like any other day. I started noticing AF like cramps around 9pm and they just progressively got worse and worse as the night went on. By 2:52am, DD was born.

I was 39w 4d at my appointment when I had my membranes stripped. I was already 2 cm when I had the stripping done. I actually had some bleeding all that day and went into labor at 39w 6d.

I had my 39wk appt on a friday morning....had what i like to call a rough internal.....was cramping all day/night into the next morning (sat) when my mucuous plug came out.....the cramping continued and my water broke 12hrs later....i went to the hospital and still wasnt dilated (1cm) enough to be admitted but couldnt be sent home bc my water broke which risked infection sooooo i was told to walk around the hospital for two hrs.....which i did for 1hr40mins and just couldnt do it anymore bc of being in so much pain (had back labor also...dd was in the wrong position) and discomfort bc of the fact that i was soaked from my water constantly leaking with every contraction..had the epidural when i got back up from my walk bc i was at 5cm by then...i got all the way to 9cm and the baby failed to descend and i failed to progress to 10cm which led to a emerg csection the next morning (sun) at 425am.

I had my appt the day before my due date at 9:30 am, I was 3 cm for like 3 weeks, he stripped my membranes, I started to have bloody show 1 hr later and went to L&D at 11:00pm that night. He was born at noon the next day. So my dr definitely kick started it!

I was 5 days late and had an internal that day.

I didn't have cramping until labor started, about 8 hours after my appt.

i dont know if it was because of an internal but i had one the wednesday and went into labor on teh friday

I had an internal on my 38 week 1 day appointment. I was zero % effaced and zero cm dialated. That night at 1:30am my water broke & I went into labor!

I was 2 days over due. I went in for an appt wednesday evening & we discusses an induction that sunday night if nothing happened. My OB stripped my membrances & I went into labor about 5 am the next morning.

ETA: I was only 1cm dialated at the appt.

I had it done on a Friday and went into labor Tuesday morning. I was 39 weeks and dilated 3cm I think.

I had my first interal at my 41 week appointment. By the time I got home I was spotting & I was crampy all day long & I started to lose my plug. I went to bed around 11pm that night & woke up by 12am with contractions. DS was born 25 hours later. So it was about 36 hours from my first interal until I was holding DS. I was over 41 weeks already so I can't say for sure that the interal caused anything.

I had my first and only internal exam at 11am 2 days before EDD and I went into labor 12am that night/am. I was only 1 cm dilated and the baby was still high, the doctor said he didn't think DS was going to come anytime soon. After the exam, a few hours later I lost my mucus plug and I felt him drop and 13 hours later I was in labor!

I went on a Wed to the dr she checked me and was like oh sorry you might have some bleeding tonight I stripped your membranes alittle by Friday I dropped and my water broke that night. I gave birth on a Saturday 5 days before my actual due date.
