I've posted about DH's schedule before. We live in NJ but he works out of downtown Manhattan. He leaves at 6 am and some days he doesn't get home until Midnight....and last night he didn't come home at all!
It's tough....but I actually like the break from cooking sometimes....that is how I have to look at it...I don't have to cook when he isn't coming home for dinner. I can watch the shows I want on TV, etc. I don't know what I am going to do when DD gets older though.

Mine does at least 2-3 days a week until 10pm. The girls and I eat without him; he usually eats in the city anyway. I've gotten used to it, but I am so psyched--the semester ends tomorrow (he teaches law at John Jay) so he'll be home at a normal time again!!
Just as a side note, at dinner yesterday Katherine said, "Daddy doesn't live at our house." So I asked, "No, where does Daddy live?" and she replied, "At work."  But then she went on to say that "Bob"--her odd nickname for DH's brother--lives with us.
