How many people have asked you to name the baby after them?
We found out the sex yesterday, and started making phone calls to our family, and we had quite a few requests

My daughter has alot of 18-21 year old friends named DAN and they keep asking me so how little dan doing? I dont even know what I am having.

My dad seriously asked me that if I had a  could I give him our family last name since Brian has another brother and his brother could give his child their last name....

my dad...UH NO! My dad is ray and my father in law is charles so we joke that yeah we would really name the baby..RAY CHARLES 
One of my first grade students asked too...cute but thanks!

Id be shocked if anyone ever made that request of us in the future since we name for the deceased. That would be something else though wouldn't it.
However, OTHER family members will often have opinions as to who the honors should go to. I personally think the mother and father should choose and names should not be dictated by anyone else.
