how many sq/ ft is the largest room in your home (house or apt)

my living room is over 300 square feet. we are changing it to one larger space, with a smaller "office" type. there is a "door way" separating them, but no door or walls....we will be painting them two different colors.

I have no idea. All the rooms in my house are pretty small. My two-car garage probably is the biggest one-room space

my living room is 25 x 12

it's huge- I have it divided into 3 spaces

enterway
living room
dining room

you can get a wall put up- I didn't b/c we would lose the light and rent

did you buy a place? you are doing alot of work-

no, we didn't buy it...but my dh has lived in it all his life...and it's rent controlled. they will have to wrestle the keys out of my decomposing hands you'd PUKE if you knew what I pay in rent every month for a 3 bedroom, huge living room, separate dining room, spacious kitchen...in the heart of downtown Brooklyn.

I am the type of tenant that keeps Bruce Ratner up at night


oh good for you guys! I can only imagine- my friend has a rent control studio in manhattan- and she paid less a month then I paid for 1/2 a split 1 bedroom

I think our family room is around 600 sq ft.

It was originally a living room and dining room, but we took down a small partition and combined the two.

my living room/dining room is 10x30 not counting the office (L shaped off the living room, used to be a wall there we knocked it down) which is an extra 130 sq. ft.

it flows dining room-living room-computer/office

my living room is 35 x 24... I'm not good with conversions, but I think that's close to 800 sq ft?

36 x 12 with no walls. It's divided into 4 spaces: foyer, living room, exercise area and office

I use the sectional sofa to define the enterway - living room space

and for the dining area - just an area rug

it's a rental-- so I don't care all that much
