How many times a day...A potty training day 3 update and some wonderings..

...do your potty trained little ones pee on the potty?

Emily had only one accident today, it was a great day.

She peed 3 big huge pees in the potty.

She stayed dry for over 2 hours when we were out running errands....

despite lots of drama, hysterics, screaming, oi vey potty training is really stressful, but I've said that before....

so anyway....how often do toddlers usually pee?

I am worried actually that she doesn't pee often enough...

She also hasn't pooped since we started this, so her last poop was saturday. That didn't make me nervous until today, but now I'm nervous about it. I've heard so many horror stories about kids who end up holding it in....

I would say that the amount of "pee" depends on their liquid intake. Does she drink a lot? Have you been offering her more since you are trying to encourage peeing?

DD doesn't go that often but also doesn't drink that much. However, when she drinks a lot she goes a lot. Go figure!

I noticed that her habits are also different than mine. I have to go potty shortly after waking in the morning but she usually doesn't go until she's been up for an hour or two.

I also always make her try to go before we leave the house b/c it never fails that she will have to go at the most inconvenient time or when we are the furthest away from a bathroom.

As for the poopy problem, maybe you could offer some prune juice to help move things along if she doesn't go in the next day or so.

I asked this question the other day. Sara went almost 3 hours and no pee pee. She does poop though everyday at 11:30 so that is taken care of. We had 2 accidents today but ne was while she was napping so it doesnt count.
