how many words does your 13 month old say?
DS is 13 months and only says "dada" "more" and has said car once or twice ...he is really good with gross and fine motor skills, understands everything i say to him and responds to his name. he even follows simple directions like " throw the ball" or "do clean up" its just that his language is not quite there yet... DD started talking at 10 months, so its what im comparing DS too... i know i cant compare because each child developes differently and i know i should worry about talking until he is 2 ...DS just points to everything! i give him the words, like if he points to his cup i say . just curious at what point with talking your DC is at right now...

Re: how many words does your 13 month old say?
Brooke could say around 15 words at that age.
My oldest DD Kaitee could only say 5 or 6 words at that age.
Its very hard to not comapre you own two kids. I use to do it all the time(sometimes I still do)

Re: how many words does your 13 month old say?
DD is 13 months and says mama, dada, me, night-night, bye-bye and is starting to mimick a lot more lately and can understand most of what I ask/tell her.
My older DD didn't really say any words at all until she was 18 months.

Re: how many words does your 13 month old say?
DS had zero words at 16 months, and only around 15 or 20 by 18 months. I was pretty worried, but by the time he was 2, he said every single world he ever heard, so they do catch up!

Re: how many words does your 13 month old say?
DS is 12.5 months, he says dada, mama, baba...I dont really consider these words though. The only words he really says are quack, duck, daddy.
He is starting to mimic more and more, sounds, changes in voice, etc. but as much as he babbles, very little of what hs is saying is real words.
I wouldnt worry at 13 months, my niece didnt talk nearly at all until over 2 and now we can't stop her only 6 months later!

im not worried i know he is only 13 months i know of some kids not saying anythng at 18 m...just curious of what other DCs are saying...because i was used to my DD chatting away and she started talking at like 10 months so by 18m she was comunicating in full sentences! seems like everyones DC are on the same level just about. i will have to deal with DS gestures
