How much $ and work to take down an above the ground pool?

Sorry for the million questions but we need to make a decision relatively soon on a house. A new one just came on that looks adorable but it has an AG pool (pools for us are a no-go w/ small children). Anyone have a rough estimate on $ / effort it would take to take it down?

to do it yourself not much work/effort as long as there is no permeate (cement) like structures. Drain the water, then sledge hammer a side and it pretty much falls apart. The sand underneath you can use for kids or this is the pia part is shoveling it out and bagging it then adding grass seed.

post it on craigslist. people buy pools from there all the time. ones that they come over, take down then put up at their house.

Yes, someone will come and take it. What kind of pool is it, how old? We have friends who have done it before and we would love to have a pool.
Thanks :)

It took us a whole day to get the pool down...and then a few weeks to fix the area where the pool was...

Once you get the water out it's really just a matter of tearing it down. The hardest part is getting rid of the sand that is under hte pool, putting in topsoil and seeding....

We pretty much just shredded it since we had no interest in the pool.

not that hard. but the idea of craigslist is a good one. Hopefully the pool is in good condition. I'm sure someone will come by and take it down to use. GL!
