How much damage did you have to your house from the storm?

We got lucky. We only had branches down. But my heart goes out to everyone who still doesn't have power/heat and if your house had any damage!!!

Part of my gutter cam off and a tree fell down in between my house and the neighbors ,but nothing compared to what I have seen on the news

Just a few sections of our fence came down. I pray for those who had severe damage.

A few sections of our fence fell; a bunch of roof shingles (from the previous owners' "new" roof...cheap job) blew off & a broken flagpole.

We lost power for 3 hours & cable/phone for a day

My parents have three trees down, a ruined back fence and had no power for one night and just got back phone/internet/TV.

a nuisance, but they fared better than a lot of other people.

no damage here at all! I live on the N shore, but work on the S shore. S shore DEFINITELY got hit harder.

the ceilings in two rooms are ruined from water damage but not a huge deal since we are about to start major renovations anyway i am sure we would have had to redo them at some point, just not too pretty to look at!

Just a few shingles missing from the roof. We're in Bellmore, and we were very lucky, as there are trees down all over our neighborhood.

I have rolled roofing on part of the house, and that came partly up. Luckily, one of our neighbors behind us came by to let us know. It's a relatively flat part of the roof, and on the back side, so we don't see it normally. I was up there last night nailing it back down. The plywood was a little wet, but I didn't see anything inside, so hopefully nothing too bad happened.

Got some flooding in the basement, but I do on occasion, so everything is already raised off the floor, so there was no damage. Bought a sump pump (after the storm, of course... ), so hopefully that won't happen anymore.

Luckily nothing- not even a branch in the yard!
My FIL who lives the next town over had a tree fall on the house!
Luckily nobody was home and the damage isn't TOO bad...but it will still need an insurance claim filed, work done on the house, etc

Scary storm!

We were lucky just lost a piece of our fence and there are a bunch of twigs to pick up. We are in Wantagh and there are tons of trees down.

No real damage and I'm in Bellmore. The neighborhood is trashed so I feel really lucky! My house is a beast!

Luckily we had very little. Part of our fence needs to be repaired/possibly replaced and we lost a little of our gutter. Oh and some siding is barely hanging on in one spot near the roof line.

A few houses on our block lost all of the siding on one side of their house, and one of them also lost all the roof shingles over their dc's new playroom and it got a lot of water damage.

As of this morning my mom's house is still without power since Saturday and her shed was destroyed, but luckily nothing more than that.

Very little, thank God!

Just a piece of our siding came off and a large branch on the tree in front snapped off.

house is still new, and built well
and there are no trees anywhere near us, all neighbors have taken them down as well.

Only one tree down in our yard and it did not hit anything thank god. Neighbors had some fences fall down, but that was really it for us where we are in Lindenhurst. The lights only flickered, so we were lucky in that sense. Had TV, Cable & phone too.

My heart goes out to anyone that has really bad damage. The south shore got hit hard in some areas.

A little piece of our gutter guard came down and a fence post cap blew off. Thank chicken.

I feel terribly for all the damage done to people's homes. It's a nightmare. I hope everything works out for them.

we lost part of our fence and we lost power for 24hrs but thankfully none of the huge trees on my front lawn came down, considering the neighboorhood lost so many trees(we are in wantagh) The tree in our neighbors yard behind us is leaning- I hope they take care of it...my aunt had a tree fall on their house and DH's aunt had a tree fall on their house also...it was a crazy storm!!

zip, zero, zilch. Our neighbor lost some weird lattice work on the top of their fence and their pool cover came off.. but they are morons so I don't care.

My sister lost power.. but no other damage.

LIPA came and took down the tree we had hanging over a power line. Now we have to get it carted away. One piece of our fence came down.

There are roof tiles all over the lawn. Glad we rent for once!!!

We got a lot of water in our basement, but it would have been worse if we had no power or we weren't home to suck up the water with a shop vac. We have a pump, but it couldn't keep up with this apparently.

Nothing was damaged, though we will probably need to pull up the indoor/outdoor carpeting we have down there--I'm worried about mold growing underneath. And we probably need a water specialist to come in and see why we got so much water.

But not so bad compared to many people.

Half of our pool cover fell into the pool so DH fixed that Sunday and then we had a 30 or 40 foot pine that uprooted on the side of the house and just missed our fence by maybe a foot. Other than that, just branches here and there.

Our neighbors shingles were flying off their house and broke our front window, and a few shutters were ripped off in the process. Also my DH was bringing in groceries and a shingle smacked him in the head. Luckily the cut wasn't deep. But he bled for quite some time.

*the way the wind was blowing our window sills got filled with water and was coming into the front windows
*leaking roof

good times but no trees or branches which we thanked our lucky stars for!!
