How much did your DC weigh when they slept through then night?
My Ped told me that my DD probably won't sleep through the night until she is about 12-13 lbs (she is 12lbs 9oz @5months). Since she is small he said she probably still needs the middle of the night feeding, ugh. So I was just wondering what your experience was. TIA

DD is over 16 pounds, and only occassionally sttn.
she's gotten better, but IMO their weight has nothing to do with it.

DD slept through the night at 9 weeks old, she was probably around 8lbs.
DS is 7 weeks old, I don't know how much he currently weights, but 3 weeks ago he was 11lbs 1oz. I don't think he is sleeping through the night anytime soon.
IMO, there is no correlation between weight and STTN.

Yah, that is what I was thinking...IDK why he is saying this, it is kind of annoying me b/c I want to try to CIO with her at night so she can sleep!

Kaydyn didn't STTN until 8 months and she was prob 18lbs
Ainsley STTN at 3 weeks (she was 8 1/2lbs)

10 pounds ...and then at 4 months he stopped sleeping through the night - I'd say he was about 15 when he started again.
He is a little guy, he was only 17 pounds at a year.

Maybe 10lbs. DD started STTN at 8 weeks old (10pm to 9am) and at 12 weeks old she was sleeping from 7pm to 7am. What does weight have to do with anything though? I have friends whose 1 year old won't STTN so I don't think it's as simple as how much they weigh.

She has a handful of times but not often enough to constitute SSTN

Almost 11lbs. I thought with DS he STTN early bc he was a big eater but DD really isnt and she STTN at 5 wks so I no longer thinks it's so correlated.

DS slept for 7 hours from the day we brought him home from the hosp...he was not even 8lbs then. Since then he now sleeps for 10-12 hours and he's about 17lbs.

3 months, and 14 lbs. they do say that if your baby was born full term and weighs 12 lbs, they should metabolically not need a feeding at night. i dont think that necessarily means they will STTN though. they can still wake up for other reasons.

3m 15.8 lbs, but I weaned him off night feedings by offering a little less and less each night. like .25oz less each night so he'd barely notice and make sure he was getting that extra during the day.
