How much do you pay for dance classes?

Just wondering what the going rate is for dance classes on long island...DD may enroll in a class starting this week and running through the end of the school year and just wondering if the cost is "normal".

I pay $45 a month for a one hour class once a week.

Our dance school has no registration fee, so it might be a little higher than others.

We pay $216 for September through April, once a week, for 55 mins for dance through our village.

Queens, $55 a month. The same place used to be $50 a month about 3-4 yrs ago.

Suffolk County - $52 a month plus a $20 reg. fee per child. I get a $2 discount for the second class and a $4 discount for the third class.

DD takes 1 hour tap class each week, it's roughly $55 per month (Sept - May)

$25 annual registration fee
$495 (broken up into 3 payments of $165 - Sept, Dec & March)

Where I bring DD it is $40 per month for one 45 minute class per week (DD takes 3 and its $110 per month) no registration fee. There is the recital costume, pictures and tickets for the recital that are all extras thpugh, but thats amywherr and cam also vary greatly in price.

$140 for the whole year, Sept - June, 1 hour per week. Must be in Levittown School District.

Gymnastics is $160 for the whole year.

$60 for an hour and a half combo class.....
I would have perfered an hour for 45$ but it didnt fit our schedule

ETA - 45 min combo class (tap/ballet) 1x a week.

30 a month for hour class at community center-no recital
next year will go to a real school for 49 a month

Thanks everyone..I am looking at a class for DD and its $65 per month for the school year - $650 for year plus $30 registration fee...its supposed to be a great school but the class is only 45 mins long.....

We are Eastern Suffolk.

I guess its expensive then!!

In Manhattan, I pay 55 per month for 1 hour a week ballett class.

I don't know if there is a recital yet!

I'm in NC. Used tobe 42 per month for 45 min. She is in her 3rd year and it's an hour for $55.

$45 a month?? Either you mis-typed or you got an unbelievable deal!!!

This is the price of a lot of schools. Most do charge a registration fee in addition though.

I payed $85 a months for a school in Forest Hills. Once a week one house class!!

We pay $45 per month for the preschool creative class and $50 per month for all of the other classes. They do offer multiple class discounts and sibling discounts also.

Plus i believe it was a $25 registration fee.

Suffolk county- $40.00 a month for a toddler 30 min class.

OMG! I had no idea how expensive my dd's class was. We are in westchester but we paid $390 plus $30 registration fee for 17 classes (sept through Jan), 50 mins!! It works out to $22 a session. It's a little cheaper for second half because its less classes, but I still have to pay for costume, recital tix, etc. Luckily, she loves it and I love the teacher. It's her second year there and she wants a second class but there is NO WAY!
