how much does/did your 6 week old weigh?

DD is about 6 weeks old

she was born at 7lbs 6oz
i was at my uncles yesterday and some people asked "how much does she weigh???" followed by "look at those chunky thighs/look at those chins!"

i weighed her just now on my home scale (me & her then just me) and she weighs 11lbs. is that a lot for a 6 week old??? i know every baby is different but now im worried

tell them to go suck it! Babies are supposed to be rolly and chubby. They are babies for Petes sake. My kid was a beast, just under 13lbs. People thought he was 2 months at 2 weeks. She is FINE!

sounds normal to me. DS was 13lbs at 8 weeks.

Sounds normal to me too....

DS was 7lbs 15 oz at birth and 13lbs 10.5 ozs at 8 weeks old.

DD will be 6 weeks tomorrow, and based on weighing myself then myself with her, she weighs just over 9 lbs. she was also only 6lbs 1oz when she was born, so it's normal that she weigh so little. i think 11 lbs sounds just about right. i wish DD weighed a little more. she's still in NB size clothes and new baby size diapers. she's finally now starting to chubb up a bit.

My chunk was born at 7lbs. 2oz. and he weighed 12 lbs 6 oz. at his 5 week visit! He is a big boy but very healthy and his height and weight is in proportion to each other...I don't understand why people always need to comment on these things...its like WHO asked you for your opinion. I actually developed a tremendous dislike for DH's aunt and uncle bc they always made comments about my son's weight...it was like enough already! I think they were just jealous bc their kids look like they need a slice of pizza badly and always had health issues...

My DD weighed 7lbs6oz at birth and was 10lbs9oz at 6weeks.

its been a struggle with her and feedings so its a source of anxiety for me

she has reflux so she doesnt like to eat a lot at once. she usually takes about 2oz at a time it makes me feel like im ALWAYS feeding her (cause i basically am) even though she rarely eats 24oz/day

she goes to the Ped on thurs for her 6 week well visit so we'll see what they say

James was 8.10 at birth and at 6w1d, he was 11.7

Not sure how much DS weighed at 6 weeks as he didn't see the doctor at that age, but here is a range for you:

At 1 month, he was 11 pounds 10 oz.
At 2 months, he was 14 pounds 5 oz.

Sounds right to me! Babies are supposed to look like that! I know what you mean though, its still annoying to hear.

she is perfect and if anyone has a problem with her or her weight, point em in MY direction

My DS was born at 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was almost 11 lbs. around 5 weeks.

#1: born at 8 pounds 7 ounces and 19.5 inches long was 12 lbs 6 ozs and 22 1/4 inches at 8 weeks.

#2: born at 9 lbs 3.7 ozs and 18 inches was 13 lbs 3 ozs and is 22.5 inches at 6 weeks

your DD sounds like she is growing great! Be proud of that

ds weighed 11lb.8oz at aropund 5 1/2 weeks

DD was 7lbs 6oz and at 2 months she was just under 12 lbs.
shes a healthy babyy

Landon was 12 pounds at 1 months and 14 lbs 5 oz at 2 months. She sounds totally normal to me

My 5 week old is just about 11 pounds-10lbs 14ounces! My doc said its great so don't worry!

2 mo. 11lbs
3mo. 14lbs 4oz

Sounds like she is right on track and very healthy

ds was 16lbs at 8 weeks... starting at 8lbs 5 oz.... he was also 25 1/2 inches
