How much does it cost to change from oil to gas?
The gas line is 180 ft from our house. I know that they will give you 100 ft. for free and we have to pay for the rest. Any ideas how much the whole ordeal would cost?

I believe it's $100 per every extra foot after 100 feet.
National Grid should be able to give you a quote

We called NG and they quoted us $14,000 and that was just to run the line (its a few blocks), needless to say we are sticking with out glass top electric oven that i hate :/
You can call them up and they will tell you where your nearest line is and how much it will cost.

Someone at work did it. The line was free bc it was close enough, but she said the whole ordeal still cost her about $4000.

We were quotes $33,000   - there is no gas in the area apparently

Line was free because it was already in front of our house. Plumber cost around $5500 for new system and water tank.

We paid $6,000 four years ago. We could have had it done for less, but we wanted to go for a better burner than the one included in the "special offer" at that time.
