How much does it cost to redo a kitchen?
I know there is a big range but how much did it cost you? I do not know the exact measurements but it is an eat in, square shaped kitchen in a high ranch.
Granite, nice cabinets but do not need to be top top of the line..applianances, tile. Not planning on changing any plumbing or anything like that..thanks

Re: How much does it cost to redo a kitchen?
My parents had theirs done (Dynamic Kitchens) and the cabs themselves (the guy made them, they are so quality, like furniture) and they were around $12,500 with the install and everything. They are all soft-closure, with coping and wood done down to the floor from the ceiling, and they did a wainscotting on one part - my mom chose high end finishes that the cab guy included - a lot of other companies she interviewed would have charged extra for those touches. Then, they chose a granite from Alcamo granite yard which the kitchen guy recommended - that was around $2,000. Then, they bought top of the line LG appliances - you don't need to go that high end but they spent a total of $5,500 on them - they could have spent as little as $2,500, really. But this was their once in a lifetime re-do of the kitchen. Then, they bought wholesale tile for the floor and backsplash which was around $1500 and found a guy who installed it for $1,000. So, all in all, 20 grand - it was a complete gut renovation with removal of a soffit, install, ripping out of part of the wall to open part of the space, etc. And, again, what they chose was top of the line and they have a pretty good sized kitchen as well. If they had went retail, and got what they got, they would have easily spent 35-40 and up. But they went individually to wholesalers - tile, cabinet, appliances, granite, etc. which is a little more work (especially leg work) but WORTH it $$ wise. HTH!
Pics in album
I should add the tile they chose was expensive too -it was a high end type of tile and my mom wanted a glass mosaic for above the stove so that runs a lot more b/c it is glass. Again, you could go cheaper on the choices.

Re: How much does it cost to redo a kitchen?
We just redid ours in a high ranch and although we don't use it as an EIK, we have a square shape as well and didn't really move electrical or plumbing. It cost us roughly 30k. That was for all wood cabinets, tile backsplash, flooring and installation and granite, new appliances, and a built in storage bench. Honestly though, it really depends on your style and requirements. We got a bunch of different quotes ranging from 15k and up.

How much does it cost to redo a kitchen?
I did my entire kitchen for just under $10K I think. I don't remember anymore.
We ordered our cabinets from COnsumers - all soft close, wood cabinets. We installed ourselves. Granite countertops, rearranged plumbing, all new electrical, drywall, paint, backsplash, appliances.

Re: How much does it cost to redo a kitchen?
We had a good friend do the labor so we paid less for labor than we would have. Everything else with a complete gut from materials, header, appliances, an island, granite, etc. was approx $20,000.

We were without a kitchen for in total, about 1 month but I will say that we were able to function most of the time. All of our appliances were able to be used (except our stove for a couple of days) and our contractor was really clean so he made sure it looked clean every night before he left. The worst part for me was the clutter we has around the house for the time and not having a sink for about 2 weeks. We were doing dishes in our bathroom. We put all kitchen stuff in our den, and have the toaster over, microwave and coffee pot on a folding table in there Best advice is keep anything you would use often labeled and where you can reach it easily in the clutter. It was definitely worth it though so don't stress about how long it will take. In the end, it was definitely worth the stress because I absolutely love my kitchen

How much does it cost to redo a kitchen?
We paid about $35k for everything. We have a galley kitchen and moved the stove to the other side so we had some plumbing work involved. We were without the kitchen for 8 weeks. We had half a kitchen at one point while we were waiting for the cabinets.

Prob $25K.
My kitchen is 5 yrs old but I want to redo it. I LOATHE it.
Whatever you do/don't do - get custom cabinets. If you have to cheap out on countertop and appliances so be it. Get custom cabinets.
Remember - go custom.
