$40-no tip (she works out of her house).
I used the same girl when she was at a salon and they charged me $65 and I had to tip on top of the that. I was glad she called me when she left and told me to come to her house

For the place I used to go to it is $65 for the hairdresser that I saw. Now I go to someone else who opened a salon last year and it is about $50. I do have a feeling that his prices will go up a little bit as his new salon is taking off!!! I have heard that salons of similar quality and atmosphere in Manhattan charge hundreds. The hairdressers that I know on Long Island go to the same shows and classes, etc. and some of them teach. The price differences are amazing. I hope my new guy keeps these prices for a while.

$45 before tip. Honestly I feel like I'm paying too much for a simple haircut, gotta shop around for a cheaper place.

$20 with tip. I go to a family friend at her home. She does an awesome job, we hang out. It's wonderful

I usually pay around $40 in Queens -- I only get it cut 3-4 times a year.
ETA - this also includes a blow out (although sometimes I turn it down).

$60 plus a $15 tip (Manhattan salon).
Wash, cut, style, dry.
My hair has never looked better so the price is worth it to me.
