my dd eats a great breakfast..shell eat 3 tblsp of cereal and 2 or 3 cubes of fruit that i have frozen..or almost an entire organic waffle with applesauce on top..
lunch is tricky..but shell eat an entire yo baby, or half a cheese stick with some whole wheat crackers..
dinner is IMPOSSIBLE...she only LOVES the annies mac and cheese..she doesnt want pureed veggies anymore..and i sometimes feel like im half giving her a few different things..a few pieces of cheese..a few macaronis, a few pieces of broccolli..
moms who dont use jars..how do you KNOW theyre getting enough?
Im always worried shes not.

Well, right now I'm not worried if they are getting enough solids, I'm worried they are not getting enough BM. They LOVE their food, but get so distracted when BFing and i have no idea if they are getttng what they need.

I don't really measure anymore, but for breakfast they usually get about 7-8 tbs oatmeal (I feed them together) mixed with 2-3 cubes of fruit. Then they will share a waffle or pancake.

For breakfast, they eat two yogurts, and maybe half a grilled cheese sandwich or a stick of string cheese.

For dinner, they'll eat veggies, I don't puree them anmore, but mash them up. I tried tofu the other day but that wasn't a very big hit.
I'll mix some pastina with cheese and butter, they like too.

Well I do use jars but DD really doesnt want that stuff much anymore. So I am in the same position. I know she isn't getting half as much as she used to. She wants to feed herself and sometimes i let her, but she cant feed herself fast enough to actually eat the amt she used to. We would be there forever, and she does get tired of feeding herself.

I dont know what the answer is.

ummm Alexa is a pig typical solids for her:

Breakfast a whole banana with 6 tablespoons cereal mixed with prune juice (so she doesn't get backed up)

Lunch
1/2 avocado with 4 cubes of fruit and 4-6 tablespoons cereal

Dinner

6 cubes of chicken and potato blend
dessert: 4 cubes fruit with 4 tablespoons cereal

snacks during the day: home made biscotti, puffs, small pieces of fruit

DD will be 8 months next week. She eats 3-4 cubes 3x per day with cereal added in the morning. She is still loving purees but we have tried some that were chunkier (not leaving them in the food processor as long) and she likes that too. We mixed small cubes of tofu in with the veggies a few times for texture and she loved that. Still shows no real interest in feeding herself.

DS is 9.5 months old. I'm not worried about him getting enough food to eat. I'd rather he get most of his nutrition from BM.

He has been rejecting the pureed foods for a few weeks. I still try to give them to him first. I leave oatmeal at daycare and send in 4 cubes of food for breakfast and 4 for lunch. Sometimes I'll send in yogurt instead for lunch. He also tries a lot of the food on the daycare menu. At night, I prepare 4-5 cubes of food, but he doesn't always finish it. I'll give him cheese, puffs, yogurt melts, or cut up vegetables if he doesn't finish the pureed food or seems hungry.

DS is still on mostly jarred baby food.

DS loves food. What he has had:
-yo baby yogurt
-pastina
-fries
-sweet potatoes
-chicken
-eggs

He will be trying pancakes this weekend. I may try making my own mac & cheese with pastina this weekend for him.
