How much $ for Movers
DH and I are deciding if we will be moving ourselves or hiring a moving company. I have no idea how much movers cost..could someone give me a ballpark figure? We are moving from a 2 bedroom apartment in Wantagh to a house in Farmingdale.

I have always paid between $700 and $900
it's worth it to me to have some else worry about how they are getting my stuff in and out - up and down stairs - etc

You have a similar move to DH and I...we moved in December from a 2 bedroom to a house both on the S Shore. It was well worth it to get movers. I think we paid over $800 I honestly cannot remember how much it was.

We paid $1150 to move a two bedroom, 1 story house in Seaford to a 3 bedroom, 2 story house in Bellmore. Our movers were amazing if you need a recommendation.

We paid around $1100 for our move from Brooklyn to Garden City this past Nov. They were professional, on time and worth every penny.
We used a LI moving company.

I recently paid $1400 (which included tip) for 6hrs and 3 movers.
