How much might all different forms of childcare cost? (asking for a friend)

I have a neighbor who may be adopting a baby. She was asking me how much I think childcare might go for apx, but since I dont have children yet, I told her I would ask all of you.

Just looking for ranges, such as x amount for in home childcare, x amount for someone who watches your child in their home, x amount for what a daycare center might cost, etc?

We know that every place/person might have different rates so whatever info you have will be helpful.

At they daycare I am looking into 2 full days a week is $603.00 a month.

My DD's place is in Farmingdale.

Full day from 7am-6pm 5 days a week for a toddler is $265 week.

Infants more expensive and 3+ yr olds a little less expensive

The centers I looked into range from $240 to $300 a week full time for an infant. Family daycare (ran out of someone's home) was around the same. A nanny (someone that comes into your own home) I have found to be $400-600 a week. HTH!

my daycar center is 297per week full time 730-530 m-f

From what we found, anywhere between $280 and up per week for an infant.

It's usually cheaper for an older child.

A friend of mine sends her child to day care 8hr a day 5x per wk and she pays $200, Before I stopped working and I sent my son to a daycare (at someones home) I was paying $175 per wk for 6hrs per day 5 days per wk. (that was the cheapest I found)

So far the daycares I have looked at range between $250-$400 per week (for an infant).

Thank you all! I will pass this on to her. She checked out Tutor time and they told her $2000 a month I think? So all of your estimates are way less than that, which is totally doable for her.

We pay $2400/month for a full-time live-out nanny.
