how much to tip for the keratin treatment?
i am goin to the womans house-she is charging me 225 to do it..how much to tip??

See, thats a tough one.
I go to a girls house to do my haircut. I dont normally tip her.
Because its going right in her pocket.
Sometimes I do and its $5.
I know with this treatment, they do have to purchase it on their own and well the time behind it, to do...usually long.

maybe just give her $240 so she gets a little extra and so its even in $20 bills

she is being nice by doing it by her house-bc in the salon its $$$

I got it done at a salon about two weeks ago for $199, and it took about two hours in total.

I looked online, and the bottles sell for 200-300 dollars and that gets 10-15 applications.

hmmm that's interesting because I know someone who works in a salon and offers it outside of the salon, and she charges $125. Maybe that's because the bottle is good for more then one person?? She made a big deal about being "licensed" to do it and says most places don't have licensed Keratin hair dressers  I saw whatever. I think experience is more important to me and how well it comes out.
To answe the OP, I wouldn't tip at all since its at her house, but if you feel you have to I like Julz's idea
