How much would you tip?

Tipping at the hair salon has been posted before, but I need a refresher.

How much would you tip based on these prices:

Highlights: $100
Toner/Glaze: addtl $22
Haircut: $50

How much should the tip be for the colorist, stylist and shampoo girl (3 separate people, and none own the salon)?

I usually do 20%, depending.

highlights $20
toner $5
haircut $10

I always give the shampoo girl $5

my hair cut and color woman is the same and i usually tip 15-20% of the price

20% and 4-5 for the person who washes my hair

If I didn't see the owner of the salon, I would tip 20% for cut. I tip $5 for wash and $15 for blow (the guy who cuts me doesn't dry).

I don't color my hair or anything so I can't help there.

It sounds like I tipped about right. I tipped a bit more than $20%.

Colorist: $25 (wasn't sure if I had to include the cost of toner when I calculated the tip)

Haircut: $10

Shampoo: $5
