How often do you actually answer the phone when your IL's call?

I can't help it...I just stare at the caller ID and wait for the machine to answer. I just can't deal.

My in-laws only call my husbands cell phone.

Now - my poor husband has to deal with my mother calling me 50 times a day!

all the time, and I call my ILS more than my DH does.
I am very lucky to have a great relationship with them.

Hmm, you mean that once every 3 months phone call? Never! LOL, I have my own issues with them. DH can pick it up.

If I am home alone w/ DS NEVER I screen my calls! hahaha. If DH is home I will make him answer it by pretending to be busy. I dont dislike them I just hate talking on the phone.

Whenever they call...I see them 3 times a week bc they watch Jayden. But on the other days, my FIL will call just to see how we are doing and to talk to Nate.

MIL never, and I mean NEVER calls so it's not a problem here. Wait, she did call once about 3 years ago and I let the machine get it.

Never! DH can deal with them if he wants to.

My in-laws never call the house because they know better so i don't even have to worry about that!!

I try not to answer it - but if DH knows I'm near the phone I do just b/c I don't want him blowing off my parents.

if DH is home- I will answer but play it off like I am in the middle of something and hand the phone right to him.

my MIL has been calling a LOT during the day since I have been home on maternity leave. I let the machine get it nearly every time, and she always leaves a message saying "just calling to say hi, no need to call back". But then she will KEEP calling and leave these same messages. Get the hint, lady.

I should just pick up, say I am busy and will call her back, then don't call. maybe then she will get the picture. I don't want to talk to her, all she does is rip on people behind their backs, and she is bored because she does nothing all day long!!

Never - I say DH your moms calling...then again he says 99% of the time let it go to voicemail.

Im fortunate to have a good relationship with my ILs..BUT I still dont answer every time they call. Most of the time it's b/c it's just not a good time and I dont want to be rude and cut her off...

My IL's call my DH cell phone, so does his brother, I think there all afraid of me! Very strange, but hey I don't mind at all.....

I always answer. I love my IL's and I'm very lucky to have them!

I'd say about 10% of the time.

never. i do the same thing, just stare at the caller id and pray the answering machine picks up soon.

but if my DH is home, ill pick it up and throw the phone to him immediately.
