How often do you change your crib sheets?

DD sometimes spits up a tiny bit while sleeping (maybe its drool too)...and when we get her in the morning she's a little stinky (maybe also from sweating a bit in her sleep sack). This happens even when she got a bath right before bed. Now DH is thinking its less her and more the crib sheets. We usually change them once a week, but now I'm thinking, maybe we need to do this like every other day? Chat Icon

So, how often do you change yours?

once a week, sometimes twice a week. DS is 13 mos old. When he was younger, it was more like twice a week unless he leaked through or had a cold.

Once a week. He's 4 months. Before though he used to spit up a lot and I was changing his cradle sheets a lot more often.

Once or twice a week. We have the Clouds and Stars zipper sheets so changing the sheets is simple Chat Icon

Re: How often do you change your crib sheets?

soon to be mom here and I recently registered with help of BTDT people...they had me register for something called The Ultimate Crib Sheet. It snaps around the rails of the crib...goes on top of the pretty sheet so you still see the pretty sheet from the side of the crib. I believe it's waterproof (I think?). They all said they swear by it after their DCs would vomit in the night and they were tired of changing sheets mid-night - pretty much having to take out the mattress to change the sheet. They say they just change this weekly and only change the actual sheet every few weeks - some even said once a month.

Have yet to try it but just wanted to share since it was quite a few of them that were raving over it.

Here it is:
The Ultimate Crib Sheet

ETA: it is waterproof!

Re: How often do you change your crib sheets?

Hmm...probably not as much as I should. Chat Icon

DD doesn't spit up anymore, and doesn't sweat very much, so we're a little "lenient" with how often we change her sheets.

The way I figure it, the only parts of her that actually touch the sheet are her hands (her pillowcase we change more often), so we take a little bit of liberty there Chat Icon

Re: How often do you change your crib sheets?

I use the Ultimate Crib sheet, and change it twice a week or so. DS sleeps with a blanket now, and usually winds up sleeping ON the blanket, so I'll wash that more often (it's often wet w/ drool).

Re: How often do you change your crib sheets?

My son is the same way. He just wakes up stinky, even when I give him a bath right before bed. So I change his sheets every other day to every 2 days. And he wears different pjs every night and a different sleep sack (he chews on his sleep sack and/or pjs while he is falling asleep...kind of gross, but whatever works). Chat Icon It does make more work and laundry for me, but at least he is not so stinky!! Chat Icon

Once a week -- she doesn't spit up or leak, but if she did, more often than that.

Every Sunday. If they spit up or had a leaky diaper I would change it then. I have 7 or 8 crib sheets for twins
