How often do you do date night?

When we had 1DS, we went out somewhat frequently by ourselves, maybe once every 1-2 weeks. My parents were local in NY.

Now that we have 2 children and live in the DC area, we never go out on dates by ourselves.

How often do the other mommies go out on date night?

we have a 2.5 DD and a 9 month old... we JUST started getting 1 every other week..... for us, its been a Sunday afternoon to Home Depot or the mall, followed by a burger and a beer. Just the few hours out together, even in the middle of the day works for us.

1 kid - all the time. At least once a week
2 kids - often. 3 times a month on average.
3 kids - Not often. We go months without and then other times we get lucky and go out twice in a month. I feel bad asking family now with three. It is a lot to ask and DH does not like sitters.

In all seriousness, we both work full time and do not have a lot of time with our DD so we would prefer to spend as much time with her as possible.

Once she goes to bed at 9pm, then we spend time together.

As some PP's said. With DS1 we went out more often.
Now I have 2 it's not as easy. Plus we both WFT.
Last two weekends we did go out, which was nice.
DH and I also enjoy a nice dinner ourselves at home so if we're lucky enough to get both boys to sleep early or my toddler is occupied and the baby is asleep we'll open some wine (he may have a beer), order in or make something together and consider that a sort of "date" night

I'd like more, but never happens.

ETA: I'm referring to just dinner out. We never do movies or anything fun. Boo.

Once every 6 months or so, for maybe 2 hours max.

We RARELY go out now with just one DD. Over the summer we'd have friends come over and we'd barbecue and drink wine on our deck after she went to bed. I think in her almost two years of life DH and I actually went out (to dinner or a concert) 4-5 times.

However, now that we are expecting DC# 2 soon we have made a PROMISE to each other to go out more often together. We realize life is about to get a LOT more hectic and we don't want to push "us" aside. Last night we bought tickets for our first post baby concert! Now we just need someone to watch a two year old and a newborn.

Recently my aunt and I were talking about marriage and kids. She said after she had her second baby they decided to have date night EVERY Friday after the kids went to bed. They had a neighbor who came by for a few hours and they went to dinner/drinks whatever. She said it was the best thing for them. I don't know about every week, but I do want to set up something more "regular".

We finally got a babysitter outside of family and try to at least every other week. DH wants to do very week but it's expesnive to pay her and whatever we do. It's so nice to go out I suggest every one do it. As a SAHM, I was starting to be in a rut with never leaving the house so it was a nice change of pace.

We only have 1 DC but we go out about once a week or once every other week.

At least once a month, sometimes more.

I am a FTWM and DH is currently a SAHD.

Probably 1X a week or every 2 weeks. We have a babysitter and occasionally DH's parents will watch them for us

not often enough!
maybe once every 1-2 months
it is just too hard - we both work long hours and have different schedules so we are often too exhausted to go out
but we do rent movies and spend time together after DS is in bed

Not often at all unfortunately. My mom watches DD during the week.. so when the weekend comes, she's tired and just wants to relax. My in laws live in another state, so we're kind of stuck and I feel bad always asking my mom to watch her.

birthdays and anniversary... sooooo 3 times a year? sometimes mil takes him on a weekend morning and we'll catch an early movie...but i think twilight was the last one, whenever that was out

at least once a month - sometimes not much more, sometimes a lot more. Depends on what's going on that month, who is available to babysit, etc.
