How often to see OB, esp in first trimester?

How often / what week #s do / did you have scheduled sonos or check-up appts w/ your OB in the first trimester?

I had sonos at my RE at 6 & 8 weeks, graduated, & made an appt w/Dr Sadaty which will put me at 11 w 4 d.
Of course, they didn't schedule me based on any medical reasons... The receptionist just gave me the next avail appt.

Is that too long in between appts? I'm nervous about it.

Is it just because I'm used to frequent monitoring at RE?
The receptionist took all my stats as to how far along I am but I doubt anyone will review it before my appt.

Will I miss any tests that need to occur at a certain week? I just read that 10 wks is the optimal time to have the bloodwork portion of the combined Down Syndrome test.

I don't remember exactly. But because I was pregnant with mono/di twins (identical twins sharing a placenta but in their own amniotic sacs) I was going every 2 weeks for sono's.

I think I had my Level I at 12 weeks. (that is when they do the test for Downs but measuring the neuchal fold with a combination of bloodwork).
