I turned 39 on Aug. 4 so I hear ya......I was hoping to at least conveive before 39.... Now I am hoping to have a baby before 40....

luckily we live in a time where age isn't too much of an issue.
i used to work in the same building where christie brinkley took pilates. (and yes, she looks GREAT at 50, but ANYWAY........)
She had her 2nd kid at 40 and her third kid at 44....
and THAT was 6 years ago....
age is just a number, girls.....

unfortunatly I think Age still is an issue, waiting causes so many added problems, and I hate the celebrities who make it look wasy to get PG at 40-44, when they actually had lots of help we dont hear about...
although I understand your point about technology these days...
On a positive note about age and TTC...a friend of my uncles is 44 and she just delivered a healthy baby boy conceived naturally and she battles severe cervical cancer WHILE PG...so there is hope for all of us, regardless of age in the end!

You're dead right about those older celebrities. They have LOTS of help, and OFTEN what they have that we don't hear about is egg donors. On the other hand, that is AWESOME about your uncle's friend and extremely encouraging (to me, a 41 year old TTC).

I have a co-worker who got PG at 40 without any additional procedures. Baby is perfectly healthy.
